I'd never strike to intentionally kill. But if I was in a situation where I could possibly kill someone in self defense and I did so without actually meaning to, I doubt I'd be all that bent out of shape over it.

There are many people that I want to kill and deserve to die. Yes, I believe I would kill them if I could get away with it.

I wouldn't kill someone just because I didn't like them, but if someone tries to kill me I'm gonna kill them back.

Yeah, assuming they are either an enemy combatant, or a direct threat to me/a friend I could off them in a heartbeat.

If there's a good reason for it, I believe I could bring myself to kill a person without much trouble. It surely isn't something I want to do though.

...yes, if the ends justify the means. If it were in self-protection or in protection of my family, then yeah, definitely. If someone had deliberately caused a severe amount of suffering to someone I love, or maybe even someone I don't know, I would gladly purge their existance off of this planet. Similarly, if I know someone has used their life to committing acts of evil (and it was my job to hunt them down) I would do so without a second thought.

In a blackmail "your life or that innocent bystander" situation where the person ordering me to kill is out of my reach then yes, I suppose I would do it and then feel a horrible sense of guilt about it. Maybe I'll get over it, maybe I won't, I suppose thats my atonement.

Finally, if OP just meant kill someone randomly, then no. Definitely not.

If it was necessary self defence, then yes I could.
If they broke into my home and I was armed, I would tell them to back out slowly, if they did not, if they drew a weapon, or moved very quickly, Then yes I could.
If it was self defence of a loved one, yes I could.

Outside of that... eh, probably not, my conscience would kill me for it anyway =/

Not for no reason, no.

If it was self defense definitely. I tend to think overkill is better than being too nice since that can cost you. If it's me or them and there's no practical way to solve things without death in the amount of time I have I'd choose to save my life because I don't know what their intentions are, but I can probably guess they mean me harm if they're attacking me. I'd also do it to save the life of someone I care about. As in person to be killed is attacking my partner, not a contrived situation where I have a gun and an innocent person and either shoot them or my partner is killed. That kind of thing wouldn't really happen unless some stranger really went of the deep end...

I think the only other situation I could conceivably see is a mercy killing in an extreme survival situation, like lost on a mountain and they fell off a cliff but didn't die and there's no way to save them, etc., although that's just as contrived. They'd have to ask though, and really seriously need it or push for it. If it's just "my leg is broken!" I'd bandage it and carry them.

The way I see it everyone (except people who are fully disabled form carrying out actions) are capable of murder. All you need is the right motivation.

I've done it before, and I'll do it again if it meant protecting my life and/or the life of a loved one.
I find this pretty unlikely. You're telling me that not only have you killed a person but you can talk about it in a fairly casual manner.

Sorry if it's true but lots of people say dumb shit for internet kewlnezz.

And to all the people acting like apathetic assholes, stop that shit. A human life is sacred and you're not cool because you "hate humanity."

yes.

I mean, I havent yet. I've come close to a few times, but havent.

But I most surely could. its not a hard thing to get over really.

EDIT: you just have to see the other person as your opponent, and to see them as worthless to you. What they were, are, and will be are inconsequential. once you get that in your mind frame, its fairly easy to be ready to kill.

A life isn't really worth anything.
Including yours?

How anybody could think that a life isn't worth anything baffles me. A life is worth everything.

And how would you know? You haven't killed anyone but you know you could get over it.

Generally killing someone tends to affect a person. Why you would be the exception, I don't know.

I editted my post, so you could check again and see my reasoning, but I know I could cause there's been very little outside someone holding me back or the threat of jail as somethign I dont want to waste my time in thats kept me.

But if you put me in the life or death situation, where its fight or die, I would most certainly. Im not going to go cold bloodedly murder someone, but if I'm defending myself, or in a fight, its no big deal.
