Could you make it through an (action) video game in real life?

If you were thrust into a video game of your choice whats the most difficult game you think you could survive as the main character?

No extra lives
No continues
Just you and all the knowledge of that game you already possess.
And yes, if you think thats how you'd survive (and you have working legs) you can RUN through the game too.
Also, ignore the time you usually play through games. Assume you have yeeeearssss.
And be POSITIVE! You can do it!

The first game that came to my mind was Bioshock. 1 or 2. I have both of them down in my mind pretty well and I would be relying on traps heavily. And I would never fuck with any Big Daddy!

The only other game I think I would have a chance of surviving is any Splinter Cell game (besides Conviction). I could probably succesfully sneak through every level, especially because I have most of each games basic layout still in my head.

So what about you? Whats the hardest game (any difficulty) that you think you could survive as the main character?

PS. And I only put (action) in the title because if I had put any game everybody would be saying thing like Viva Pinata or the Sims. And I wanted more satisfying answers that those.

Edit: Why is everybody feel so doomed? I was able to make it through Crysis 2 on expert just by using the stealth button on the nanosuit.
Cheating in some sense? Yes.
Could I make it through it if it was all in "real life"? You bet.

Edit edit: Be creative people! If its real life you can use anything that exist in real life.
Maybe you need a tank to make it, so say that.
Or like I said ^above^ maybe you just need to use a lot of traps.

And think of the word real life more loosely.
When I say real life I simply mean no continues.
Fantasy/ Sci-Fi games like Dragon Age and Mass Effect are fair game too.
And say, plasmids, from Bioshock are game too, but shooting bees out of your wrist would probably hurt like a ***** in real life.

Edit:Edit:Edit:
And yes, you can surive being shot. At least once or twice. So long as its not like your head or a vital organ.

Not unless I was in some kind of mech suit and the mech suits controls were rigged so i could operate it as though i was in an FPS in my living room.

Wait. No. Not even then.

Can I grow back my legs by rubbing away the blood from my eyes?

Well, That depends on my equipment. For example, if I was dropped into Halo wearing just one of my summer dresses, then I don't think I'd last 5 seconds. Now if I were dropped into pokemon with a suit with energy shielding, I might last an hour... I'm piddly weak, even for a girl.

I think after I got used to shooting bees out of my wrists, I'd be good.

Edit: At no point in time was I specifically refering to Bioshock... take from that what you wil...

Not even, say, fallout 3 on easy?
Or Left 4 Dead on easy? You can run in that game and every zombie is a 1 hit kill on easy (besides specials)

Obviously, you have to give me what the game provides, or else that's just cheating. Action game, huh? You mean like the Fallout games where I'm a complete nobody at first and slowly make myself more awesome along the way? Certainly.

But on a much more fun side PERSONA!!

Fallout? I'd probably sink into a quivering puddle under the weight of all the things that I'd pick up because I 'needed' them, but if I could find a long-barrel and enough ammo I could make do. Of course, that wouldn't save me from a slow agonizing death from radiation...

Pikmin or pikmin2, because I haven't died once yet and I've beaten a bulborb to death with my bear hands.

The first game that came to mind when you mentioned "action" was Uncharted 2 for some reason. Could you imagine any human being trying to survive that game without getting shot?
EDIT: I just realized that I could probably make it through Resident Evil 4, seeing as I pretty much, eat, breath, and poop that game. And by that I mean that I've played it more times then I can count. The enemies move slow, and have predictable attack patterns. Plus I can run and shoot, and know how to hide behind cover.

Considering how I usually can't make it through an action style game without ever dying at least once, I doubt I would be able to pull it off without the benefit of a controller.

Were the hell did you find Bear hands!? That's freaking awesome! Your version of Captain Olimar sounds like a god damned psychopath!

I was thinking HELL NO but then I saw you listed Bioshock. I'm sure I can probably get to when/if/where the vitachambers stopped working at least in that game.

In my squishy body? Hell no. In the body of those main characters, but my consciousness, depends. GRAW 2 would be my pick. I'm pretty great at tactical team based shooters and I know exactly how that game progresses.

Bioshock with the aid of plasmids, vita-chambers and my own personal army of Big Daddies.

Maybe Metro 2033? Gas mask, silenced rifle, SMG and shotgun, some armour and a couple of allies? I think I could do it?

Except I couldn't carry that kid on my back. And I haven't played past Biomass. And if I got some practice in on my knife throwing.
