I'm looking for a few PS3/PS2 games to last me until Skyrim. I have Oblivion, Fallout 3, and NV, so please refrain from listing them along with any Final Fantasy games. I've also played both Dragon Age games. Single Player only please.

Thank you all very much for you ideas. I said I have played The Dragon age games to death and The SMT games I'm in the middle of tracking down with the exception on Persona 3+4, as I have played and enjoyed both. Morrowind won't run on my blasted net book and my main PC needs a new motherboard. ME2 I enjoyed before said computer troubles. and Borderlands I'm playing with a friend. I'll give look into the many JRPG's listed and pick a few of them up. Once more, thank you all for your grand ideas. If any others come to mind fill free to list.

Rogue Galaxy boasts ~100 hours of gameplay. It's a JRPG, if you don't mind those. Also Persona 3 is a pretty long game. Also a JRPG.

The Ratchet & Clank games on both PS2 and PS3 are very enjoyable and you can probably pick them up cheaply in a gamestop somewhere if you can find them that is, took me 2 years to find the third game. eBay is also a good place to look.

depending on how you play it, Valkyria Chronicles can be pretty long, also its a blast, one of the more unique games out there. PS3 exclusive. Little Big Planet 1+2 have lots of play due to custom levels (2 has backwards compatibility with 1's custom levels). Alpha Protocol is a fun, if flawed, game RPG with some okay replayability.

EDIT: Oh also on the PSN, Suikoden games have plenty of playtime.

Dragon age origins, between difficulty, multiple endings and some very large DLC (all of which comes free with ultamite addition) you can basically hibernate until 11/11/11

Persona 3 is pretty long, but it's pretty much a hardcore JRPG without the cyberpunk/steampunk aspects so if you don't like Final Fantasy...

Borderlands is extremely fun and I thought was very similar to Fallout 3 in many aspects, and it rewards you for playing a second time by allowing you to keep your items but increasing the levels of the enemies of those around you.

JRPGS - Disgaea and its sequels and spinoffs esp for PS2.
If you don't mind mindless hack and slash, Dynasty Warriors on PS2!

Dragon Quest VIII if you don't mind PS2 games -- plus it's about as traditional a JRPG as you can get.

Maybe it's just that I play it on and off, but Assassin's Creed 2, when counting all the side quests and such, is pretty long.

I didnt find it too long with the side quests it took me about 24 hours to beat the main story and most of the side quests. Then again I marathoned that game and got yelled at by my mom when i was done.

Or, you know Dynasty Warriors for the PS3 and 360, because (Yahtzee voice) they're the SAME F-ING GAAAAAME.

Silent Hill 2, not because it's all that long, but due to the fact that you have to take breaks every few minutes to recompose... Or is that just me?

What about Morrowind? Amazing game, takes especially long though because you can't fast travel :p So it's perfect!
