Could you still use force lightning if you got your hands chopped off?

Could you fire it out your stumps? What if your arms got chopped too? Could you shoot it out your mouth?

From what I understand it's basically just channeling force energy down the arms and out the fingers/palms. So, I mean you could probably use your legs/toes if you REALLY had to I would imagine. Hell, I guess if you had a good enough mastery of the force you could make force lightning come out of the wall or the floor or anywhere.

I don't see why not, but then again it probably be bigger and more difficult to wield well but it's possible I think.

I'd be more worried about not being able to use a lightsaber with those stumps.

...An interesting thought, that is. Vader uses lightning in a short story with his synthetic hands, but most of the time someone's hand is cut off, they don't much try fighting until they've got a new one, if they survive. If memory serves, there was Darth Bane when
He dueled his apprentice, who manged to remove most of his arm with a pure manifestation of the Dark Side. I think he fired a bit of lightning at her, but it might have been from his non-dissolved hand.

Even if you can't, there's always raging waves of force energy to throw at your foes, drawing on the pain of your recent amputation, I mean.

No. Force lightning is directed through the fingertips. That's actually the explanation of why Darth Vadar can't use Force lightning, even though he's very focused in the Dark Side.

Choke is easier, and could be used with a stump. Also it wouldn't cause cybernetic hands to explode.

I wouldn't think so... perhaps that's the point to start working on your force push/choke?

Although, personally, if I was a sith and couldn't use force lightning, life wouldn't be worth living :-/

Hmmm I think an easy way to settle this would be to play KOTOR II and see if Kreia can force lightning through her chopped off arm?
