Hello again, fellow Escapists!

You provided much help with my past topics, so here's another.
My girlfriend is going to New York City in July, and this brings to me an opportunity to buy many games I want for much less money. With that in mind, I asked her to buy some games/controls/DVDs for me, and she asked me to find where she could buy them so that she wouldn't have to spend time searching there. As I've never been out of Brazil, I don't have a clue on where to go, and thus I thought of making this thread.
I ask this to people that have been to or know NYC and know a good place to buy original games (I ask like this, because piracy is a big thing here in Brazil since the games' prices are so high, so I think it's better if I am specific about what I want) there. Also, how much do you think it will cost me to buy those things? I believe the average price there is $50, right?
First I just wanted to get recent games for XBox 360 and DS, but then I though about getting games that I don't see anymore being sold where I live. Mind you that I'm sure I won't buy all of them (I've been saving some money for a couple of months, but it's not nearly enough to buy all these and I admit I'm being quite greedy in my desire to own all of them), but in case I don't find some things i already have other options.

This is my list of games/accessories I want (in order of priority):

1) Nintendo 64
- Nintendo 64 controllers in good shape (I only get used ones here and they suck - I seek 3 controllers)

2)XBox 360
- Skyrim
- Mass Effect (1, 2 and 3)
- Portal 1 and 2
- Mortal Kombat (9? They didn't put any number on the freaking title, but I guess it's called 9; anyway, i want the latest one)
- Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3
- Halo 3
- Alice: Madness Returns
- Deus ex: Human Revolution
- Fallout 3
- Mirror's Edge
- Valkyria Chronicles
- Silent Hill: Downpour
- Saints Row 2
- Infamous
- Dragon Age
- Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
- Red Dead Redemption
- Just Cause 2
- Alan Wake
- XBox 360 wireless controller

3) DS
- The World Ends With You
- Chrono Trigger DS
- Meteos
- Ace Attorney series (the first and the third one - maybe the Perfect Prosecution game)
- Mario Party DS
- Radiant Historia
- Ghost Trick
- Professor Layton
- Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (the first ones)
- Pokemon Conquest (maybe it can also be known as Nobunaga's Ambition or something)

4) PS2
- Silent Hill 2
- Psychonauts

5) GameBoy Advance
- Pokemon Fire Red
- Pokemon Soul Silver

6) PC
- Fate of the World

Thanks for the help and tips in advance!

You'll probably be able to find the more recent games certainly the 360 and DS games at Gamestop, which is all over the US, New York being no exception. Pokemon games are pretty popular so they may have some of the GBA games also.

A few on your list are cult classics, which may be harder to find (The World Ends With You, Psychonaughts).

Nintendo 64 controllers (and the other games if you can't find them at Gamestop) try Play N Trade, they deal in a lot of retro systems and accessories. Here's the store locator so you can search for your area, http://www.playntrade.com/store_locator.php

I'm not sure if Play N Trade sells PC games, I'm pretty sure Gamestop doesn't, if Fate of the World isn't a AAA PC game, you may be at a loss for that one.

Edit: The GameStop website will also tell you what games are available in what store and how far away that particular store is (provided you have a zip code), and of course the price for new and used. The website also provides a phone number which you can call and confirm they do have the games you're looking for and the employee will hold them for you until you get there.

Average price for new games is $60, recent games that are used are usually around $50, new DS games are $30, older games can be anything.

Steam (it's a digital distrubutor for PC games, if you don't know what it is, Google "Steam", and you'll find it) has 'Fate of the World' for $10. Steam is free to download too :)

Wow! Thank you! I didn't know they had Fate of the World! I have an Steam Account, but I only use it to play Civ V and Team Fortress 2. I barely see the offers, but I'll check them out now.
