I get paid $11.30 an hour to sit around and do literally nothing. Right now, I'm technically getting paid just typing on these forums. I guess if my current summer job was transformed into a video game, it would be like that "World of World of Warcraft" video on YouTube, except with fun things like chatting on forums and making social contact with people around the world, instead of playing a joke of a video game.

Not a job, but i spend 90% of my time being a medical student on prac. It'd make a pretty boring game really "tap A to not fall asleep studying, tap B to attempt to sober up by the next day, tap C to complain as if your life was worse than it really is"...

Actually, that wouldn't be such a bad game. You could make a mod for the sims, where the only bars you have are "caffeine" "study" and "*****". And you would have *max* friends required to advance to the next stage instead of minimum friends...

I'm unemployed atm (and here I am on TE forums... coincidence?) but my sister and her boyfriend, respectively, do piercings and tattooing... that could be turned into a game... sort of...

Okay, I'm stretching and I know it.

I can see it now...

"Patroleum Land Administrator: The Game" generate massive amounts of paper work, sell out to "the man", dodge shotgun blasts from irate landowners and angry environmentalists. Surf the internet while pretending to work. Photocopy. Telephone people who don't want to talk to you about anything, ever.

this. actually i'm still undergrad, but i'll be heading off to med school in a few years. i guess right now you could make my life into an open ended RPG. try to balance classes with my drinking and neverending quest to get laid. I have to keep a certain GPA to maintain my scholarship and make it into med school, so it could be more challenging than it sounds, but it would be INCREDIBLY boring.

Technically, my job is already a huge combat RPG that takes place entirely in dialogue trees with asinine rules.

The problem is that the rule book is 240 volumes long and changes from state to state, country to country.

<--- Currently unemployed. So, yeah, I guess, but a pretty boring one.
/Sit down
/Sip iced tea
/turn on television
/post on Escapistmag.com
/play Assasin's Creed
/lie on the floor thinking of how my carpet was manufactured

As you can see...

Quality analyst for a call centre; making my job a game would probably fall under the "cruel and unusual punishment" clause. I dunno, maybe a rhythm game where you note when the audio doesn't match the pattern displayed on the screen?

Then again, some will pay for what other will pay to avoid... maybe someone'd buy it.

no but you could make the game with lart devices on the users who are abusing your network by simply logging onto it

i was thinking postal in an office setting would work pretty good for a sys admin job, well the dream job at least

The B.O.F.H. is my idol ;)

I'm known to "help" people down stairs and across roads. No evidence yet.

Well, I'm a bar manager. So I suppose that you could make a game involving mixing the perfect drink, or a management sim where you assign staff, order stock etc. But I'd prefer to make the easiest FPS in history, based largely on my private thoughts at 10pm on a Friday night.

High School Student on Summer Break!

Press "A" repeatedly to get out of bed in the morning. There's no school, but there's no time to waste! Strike the fine balance between working out and socializing! Strike it good!
Take Kickboxing lessons! Follow the sensei's moves! X,X,A,! Punch, Punch, Kick! Press B with the right timing to Parry!
You leveled up! Place 5 points into "Speedwalk" skill, "2" into "Weightlifting" and 1 into "Chug V8!"

Hey, your life would be one of those annoying dating sims on Newgrounds that everyone but me seems to play just to get to see naked girls. I used to play them because I thought they were fun... Then I grew up and realised they were about as much fun as an MMO. They were just chores with no reward (seeing as I wasn't interested in the badly drawn porn at the end).

My life wouldn't make that good a game, but I think EA would love the idea. The players would make their own games, and then they could sell those too...

Illustrator.

Draw as fast you can before the art director comes and tries to flay you alive.

Dunno, my job kinda is a videogame, playing with Painter all day...

I'm sure everyone and their mother is waiting for "Phoenix Wright: Summer Associate"

"Holy shit, Phoenix, why don't you scroll through 500000 cases and find the one I'm thinking of!"

"Oh man, another document production assignment!"

As a reward at the end, you can sit and watch a cutscene where some other character does lawyering entirely beyond your control.

Totally awesome, clearly.

I'm an evil warlock that kills innocent bystanders by melting their faces and I work at a desk, but games about offices seem boring.
