Couldn't get into RDR... before it was invaded by zombies

For whatever reason, I couldn't get into RDR. Thought I was going to love the game, but it just felt sort of empty and slow - too realistic, maybe.

Now there will be zombies, and suddenly I want to play the game. Why is that? I'm not a zombie fanboy (don't care for L4D2). I'm guessing the new content won't comprise an entire game's worth of material. Still, I'm very drawn to this DLC and I can't seem to figure out why.

Mmkay.

Oh. I'm sorry. Was there some discussion value in this?
I must have missed it.
Sorry.

Not that I can see.
So I'll stick with Mmkay.

But I'll make some up for you:
I think a lot of people like zombies as it means they really have to fight to survive, and you won't feel bad about killing them in the slightest.
But frankly, I despise most games with zombies in.
LFD1/2 I loved.
But not the zombie part, which is odd.

Edit: Ah. I see. The question was actually a statement.
I stick with my previous answer, and also that zombies are a high adrenaline monster.

Zombies do generally makes things quite interesting.
See this? Just an ordinary bear. You would probably just punch it in the face, and be on your way.

Fucking zombie bears. Much more interesting. I still suggest that you punch them in the face.

Yeah I was doing the Mexico quests and got bored of the game. Lent it out, but if I get it back I might have to give zombies a go... oh, no, wait. Fallout: New Vegas in a few days. Nevermind.

You want it because it's wilderness fill with mythical creatures. It's not realistic any more. I'm not a fan of zombies myself, but zombies in the old west just feels so right.

I can't even look at the pictures. A zombie John Marston just seems disrespectful. I liked the character, if you can't tell. Not a fan of zombies, so I'm sitting this one out.

I'm so damn tired of zombies. I'll get this DLC, simply because it's more RDR, but I'm gonna be rolling my eyes the entire time I play it.

it's obvious! games + zombies = win

basic maths good sir!
They should teach that shit in schools. I don't like zombie games, but zombies in games that shouldn't have them are fuckin' awesome.

The main reasons I'm going to get it (besides fucking ZOMBIES) are the Four Horses of the Apocalypse.

also the fact it takes place DURING the homestead parts of the game. :D

Zombies. Damn.

OT: Zombies make everything more interesting.

Post-apocalyptia, The wild west, WWII, Virtual-LEGO's...

What do you think of the new DLC?

Honestly, sometimes you need to actually read and think about the OP, not just read a TL;DR question at the end of the post. Just because there's not a question doesn't mean that there's not discussion value, and posting "There's no discussion value in this thread! This angers me in ways that I can't explain!" just let it go. If discussion value is really that low, the thread will just die and no one will care.

OT: Never played, but I hear it's good.

I did read it through.
Four times.
I only figured out the discussion value after someone else posted.
Besides, I did try to guess what it was.

There's something about it that... almost completes the game. I can't explain it, but adding in the zombies seems to be just what it needed. Don't get me wrong, I loved RDR quite a lot. I daresay it's one of the best games I've played. But adding in zombies just seems like they're taking a step towards silliness, and I think that's long overdue.
