I've seen this, for, about, the past 4 or 5 weeks. I don't watch TV, just netflix and DvD's I get my news from CBC's website and Google. So, once in a while, to be social, I go to the lunch room at work where they have HLN on most of the time, or some other channel that's not good.

Why the fuck, are massive legal battles televised events? On US TV it's a sport with running commentaries about how the Celebrity isn't looking afraid at the Judge's explanation. Why do these people continue to have their privacy invaded beyond the point where there should be no cameras? Where the fuck are these cameras, hidden?

I need to know this, it's driving me insane. Who watches this shit, and eats up this shit, and cannot live without knowing why Lohan isn't afraid to look the judge in the eye?

Nobody here actually watches this, do they?

I've been in court 5 times north of the US border.

Every time, I was deathly afraid to have my phone on me, let alone turned off because of the camera on it. I've been in there for small claims, a criminal charge(I took Law too.), support to dispute a ticket, and twice for an ongoing case regarding my nieces, as support.

As for the privacy thing, when why is it just celebs? Why don't you capitalize off of joe-blow off the street? I know this is just a culture thing, but god damn, does it really have to infect mid-day TV? Nobody can find this entertaining to the level the media portrays it. And if I'm wrong, what kind of... Thing... does?

I can't understand the fascination around watching courtroom proceedings on tv, celebrity or otherwise. I would much rather listen to some kickin' music, speaking of which....

Im not sure. I mean, I've watched my fair share of court shows (epseicallly those In session ones on trutv (they used to be courttv). its a good way to keep up on legal cases if they catch your interest.

but most of hte ones are watch are those day time ones like Judge Judy/Pirro. It brings a sick thrill to see the poeple on the bench squirm, especially when they're lying.

don,t watch it and as far as I know camera,s are forbidden in courtrooms (at least in The Netherlands).
also WHY did people ever thought courtrooms are interesting? as far as I know it,s just people talking to each other.
