How well do you guys think that cover based shooting translates to an FPS setting? The only game I can think of that made it look realistic and actually useful was Killzone 2. Killzone 3 also did it, but it almost never worked because you propped your head atop the chest-high-wall.

Are there any other FPS titles out there that actually use the mechanic? I'm not talking about games where you hide behind a box to heal, but games where there is an action button to attach to cover like Gears of War.
In my opinion, "attaching" to a wall is a very bad idea. It's horrible in TPS, and considerably worse in FPS.

WITH THAT SAID! Look into the STALKER Games, If you have the Source engine, Look at Neotokyo and the Chronicles of Riddick games. You get both of the good ones from Assault from Dark Athena. This is how cover and Stealth is done right in an FPS. (In my opinion)

sucedH fish? You want me to do what, Lord Inglip!?

I like bad company 2's cover mechanic. Specifically, the part where you can blow it up.
I realy didn't like that cover system they need more objects that weren't so easily destroyed.

I'd have to say that army of two's cover system worked best for me i know its a 3rd person rather than FPS but you could look over or around walls without realy latching to them.
