If anybody says Down in the Park here I will kill them. Just keep that in mind when you're posting, people.

could you keep your AMV's in your profile, all your doing is linking that to this thread, which isn't fair to our other members who do that and stick to the rules.

Didn't we literally just have this thread?
Are you suggesting I didn't notice the other thread of a simmiular name and title and makes this without realising such?

You also made an identical thread, albeit in December...

I was recently going through the songs I listen on youtube (because I'm a cheap SOB who doesn't pay for much) and I was recently listening to "Black Betty" by Spiderbait. It is an awesome song since it starts out with a banjo :p
Anyway, I noticed it had originally been made by a band named Ram Jam. I listened to the original and found I didn't like it as much, which is weird because I usually don't like covers. Don't get me wrong, the original is good too. However, I think I like the intensity of Spiederbait's version more.

So escapists, do you have a song in which you prefer a cover more than the original?
Wow, just proves the average age of people on this site.... Ram Jam was a cover dude, this song was from the 1930's done by a guy named Leadbelly..... And it has been suggested that HE covered it....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Betty#Early_recordings.2C_1933-39

But for my part Johnny Cash's
Hurt originally done by Nine Inch Nails
this is a quote from me from the first thread of this nature TODAY at 3'olock....... really people try to wait over 24 hours before we get repeat threads...

Oh, and I like anything that the Northern Kings have ever done. A metal cover supergroup? As Mr. Sheen once said, 'Winning!'

First that comes to mind is Johnny Cash's version of 'Hurt'.

Heads and tails above NIN.
I was totally going to say this one.

The Nine Inch Nails original was alright, but Johnny Cash's cover was great.

I wouldn't say I prefer these over the original but here are some awesome fingerstyle guitar versions of songs.

RBF's cover of Lyin Ass ***** by Fishbone, not so much like it better as I seem to listen to it more.

So I guess my shuffle likes it more.

I always felt that Mumford and Sons cover of Unfinished Business, was better than the original by White Lies. Mumford and Sons just make that song their own and make it sooo much better than the White Lies version [small](all in opinion, of course)[/small].
But in fairness, I might be only saying that because I heard the Mumford and Sons version before I heard the White Lies version.
