I didn't like the first one's demo that much, and this isn't much better. I understand I have to kill the freaks so they don't destroy the city, but I'm not made to care about anything else. In most games I play orders are hidden in story missions and favors for other characters; here a voice tells you to do things and you do them. I also didn't think it was that challenging. Eventually you can steamroll through people, kill them in one blast of a shotgun, jump over small buildings, etc. Since no one else can do this, no one else poses a threat. It doesn't help that I'm either jumping for orbs, killing freaks, or killing cell either. So, lack of focus/story, lack of challenge, and lack of variety made it not worth getting for me.

this is basically how the first crackdown's "keys of the city" played. In the actual game you'd be progressing one hell of a lot slower. otherwise there would be no challenge to it whatsoever.

personal opinion: loving the demo. during the day smashing heads, at night plowing through freaks in a car. infinite bliss

When I had a few seconds left in the demo I jumped into a crowd of freaks and just beat the living hell out of them. As awesome as it was it got better when the agency guy warned me that the freaks were all coming after me because I kicked all their asses. Right after that warning the demo ended, leaving me with an epic cliff-hanger.


I also love that when you run civilians over they explode into a bloody mist.

Did you play on Sadistic mode?
