Craft Craft CRAFT!!!

So, I love crafting. At least the way it's done in Fallout New Vegas. Which other open-world sandbox games are big on crafting items you can actually use? A good selection of guns is a bonus.

Redundant recommendations: Dead Space, Minecraft, Skyrim, Guild Wars, most MMOs

Doesn't Far Cry 3 do something like that? It has lots of guns too, so extra points for that.
I don't actually remember FO:NV having a crafting element, so I may be wrong.

The base game has bomb-making, ammo-crafting, and cooking at the very least. Mods allow fully craftable weapons.

I like the crafting in Fallen earth. It's quite rewarding to make most of your own gear, weapons, ammunition, armour, vehicles etc.

Absolutely nothing. It's also the only MMO that has held my attention for a decent amount of time. So yeah the subscription MMOs providing a "Better" service can suck it.

The only things you can buy with real money are vehicles. Why do that when you can make your own motorcycle/atv/car :3

Oh and as a bonus it's kinda the same setting as fallout NV, my character on Fallen earth looked like an NCR elite ranger it was kinda cool.

I'm actually quite tempted to reinstall it, probably once my Dark souls obsession subsides

I think the only reason I stopped playing was because I kinda got stuck in a PVP zone after I went on a roadtrip with my brand new motorbike :3

Crafting doesn't by any means make or break a game for me. Its fun when used properly, aside from games already mentioned i did enjoy modding my weapons in MGS4. Easy, quick, and very satisfying for how simple it was.
