The Inbetweeners. I hate this show with a passion, it simply is not funny, its a bunch of 30 year olds pretending to be 16 year olds swearing at each other.

And Greg Davies, who is awesome, but not in it nearly enough to save the show from being as you described.

For me it's the Lord of the Rings Movies. I loved the books growing up and Peter Jackson turned them into Transformers level action tripe. That wouldn't be so bad except he went on and on about how they were so faithful to the spirit of the books.

The addition of the Berserk armor in Berserk.

It fucking destroys Guts as a character, and turned Berserk into a Shounen manga.

It still makes my brain throw up into my skull just thinking about the stupid thing.

I think everything past his flashback was absolutely stupid. Hawk's character arc has taken a turn for the stupid, Guts is now annoying as a protaganist, and that girl he 'loves' is now a mute retard? COME ON!!!!! It was good before the flashback ended. Its now just another 'oh look, he might die, nope hes going Super Berserk!!!'

Well, he always went "super berserk", even in the first two half volumes (the intro). Guts was always inhumanly strong, but it was a strength he earned by being raised on the battlefield and constantly pushing himself to his physical limits. This mentallity of never wanting to lose ever all stems from his childhood when "that" happened where he was completely powerless. This is what made his struggle admirable, because he attained his power through his own training and suffering, not because some demon or curse granted him it. And this is exactly what the Berserk armor does; A magical dodad that grants him power.

If by "everything past his flashback" you mean everything that came after the sacrifice of the Band of the Hawk, then I'm going to have to disagree with that. I thought that the series all the way up to the re-rebirth of Griffith was brilliant. It wasn't until the Fantasy arc started that annoying things were suddenly creeping into the story.

- Guts became sorta bland as a character, and had lost that fire and passion he'd always had.
- Farnese suddenly became a Mary Sue.
- Blatent symbolism. The lame demon wolf representation of Guts' rage. Ugh...
- The fucking Berserk armor, which basically gives Guts a Deus ex Machina.
...
- Oh, and the recent flashback filler.

What else bugs me? Hmmm, I guess it may be a little recent, in terms of the time frame that the OP is talking about, but I am still bugged by the fact that Prototype exists in any way shape or form, or that this piece of shit made enough money to warrent a sequel.

Firefly fans. And their insistence that the show should still be bought back. Its been ten fucking years people. Its not coming back. No-one wants it back. It wasn't even that good. Everyone thought they wanted a new Indy film, and look how that turned out!

If I were to be really pissy, I'd probably also go with console fanboyism. Then again, I've stopped visiting IGN (particularly the comment boards) so I don't really notice this anymore.

I'm probably going to anger a lot of people, but for me, it's Avatar: The Last Airbender. It wasn't all bad, just pretty schizophrenic with its pacing. Filler, major plot, filler, repeat ad nauseam. The mood changed like crazy too. And people say it's the greatest animated show they've seen. Some of them should really see Akira...

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. I see it for what it is, a bunch of people suspended by poorly concealed wires waving swords at each other. I fell asleep in the first half hour, it was that bad. If it had a plot, it was completely lost on me.

I just don't like abridged series' and have never watched the Yu-Gi-Oh one. I just, gah.

Also little things that bugged me that people kept doing at my school's anime club - saying "spaaaaaaaaaaaaaace" whenever something about space came up, and "Gigaaaaaaa-" whenever someone was about to do a special move and because we're watching ANIME you can imagine that it happens a lot. Also pointing out crazy hair and outfits. Seriously if that stuff bugs you maybe you shouldn't be watching anime...

You know what. I feel a lot better now for some reason.

Oh let's see. *scans through pages of rage* seems like most people covered everything for me. Huh. What do I do now? Well, time to possibly make a huge chunk of this entire website hate me. Ahem. I HATE Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. That movie may have been the biggest waste of my time AND cash that I have ever experienced regarding cinema. And I have seen some awful movies. Hell, I sat through The Room BY MYSELF to prove a point. But nothing, NOTHING makes me more angry than Scott Pilgrim. I loathe it. Also, moviebob's rants are slowly getting up there for me. I was ready for a REAL zombie survival horror game, with an open world, interact-able environment, and various ways to use things as weapons.

But nope, I got borderlands with zombies.

It's almost as if the majority of their budget for story boarding/concept design went straight into that trailer...
