Crash Bandicoot has died today

Well I don't know how you can say a fictional character died. Fictional characters can never really die, even if they're killed off in their respective stories they can always be revived in some incarnation or other or simply by retcon. Just because the series is not currently active or the company the created it has gone belly up, doesn't mean some other company won't revive it later. ...for better or for worse.

There's no flesh or blood within this cloak to kill. There's only an idea. Ideas are bulletproof.

Successful fictional characters live forever. Even those in decline don't really "die" - someone can try and bring them back to their former glory many years after. If they don't know what they're doing, it produces a "zombie" character, but if they do...

As for Crash - he lost the true greatness ever since Naughty Dog moved on to create Jak series, but may he rest in peace anyway.

He was. But around the time the PS2 came naughty dog wanted to move on and sold crash.
Eventually Crash found his was to Activision.

Pretty much, Activision decided to lay off around 90 people. A good chunk of the 90 people were people in the Crash team.

Crash Team Racing was by far one of the best kart racing games of all time (kicked the hell out of Mario Kart imo).

No, thats not what happened at all. Naughty Dog were the DEVELOPERS of the four original games and had a contract for four games after that, they lost the right to him...Naughty Dog SOLD NOTHING.
Universal interactive chose not to renew the contract with ND and went else where. Eventually Universal interactive merged with Vienda and became known ad Vienda interactive.

It wasn't until 2004,6 years ago that Crash was "Sold to another company" In2004 Crash was sold to Seirra Entertainment who in return ended up merging with Activision. Who ASLO merged with Blizzard.

Developers have changed a few times, after Naughty Dog.....

Sorry if that seemed a little "Ragey" but I'm sick of people saying "Naughty Dog sold Crash"
That clearly isnt the case.

Most of the team that worked on his games got the pink-slip. Their studios are still open, and lets face it, those 90 programers can be replaced. Still, it's sad to see a part of your youth die off (or go "Dorment). Then again, sometimes it's for the best, Spyro and Crash games designed 2 years ago were pretty crappy.
