Im talking about wild speculation, from the somwhat plausible to the rediculous, there was a similar thread I think a while ago..anyway

1. the Prothean beacon actually completley fried Shepards brain, now he/she is in an institution somwhere rambling about reapers...all the games are a dream (except the reapers ARE actually coming...)

2. Bioshock is actually set in the Pre-war fallout universe....

3.Chell is actually cave jhonsons daughter...why? I dont know

4. the Courier is the lone wanderer, well this could be true, its set up so you can role play him/her however you want, its quite possible,

all four protagonists of the fallout games were chosen by an unkown force to be super crazy talented heros in order to protect the wasteland...or they are all related in some what

Anyway, here's one:

Team Fortress 2 and Monday Night Combat take place in the same universe. After Redmond and Blutarch both finally die simultaneously, their heirs continue the battle for Zephaniah's inheritance. Meanwhile the Announcer (who secretly had a third "not-dying-machine" built for herself) succeeds in taking over the world's governments. In order to distract the masses from their new totalitarian overlord, she legitimizes the conflict between RED and BLU, turning it into a gladiatorial sport. The Combine displaced large contingents of humanity in order to defamiliarize them with their environs as well as promote confusion and hostility in the event that one group met another if/when they escaped the control of Civil Protection and the Overwatch. This is why only anglophones are in the unspecified Eastern European area around City 17. It would also ensure difficulty for initially establishing self-reliance apart from the 'Benefactors' as flora and fauna would be native to the area but not the peoples. Russians, Chinese, Japanese, Australians, all cultures would be deported to other continents in order for this to succeed, a gigantic populational game of boggle if you will.

My estimate for the figure of the Combine's genocide would be in the realm of 5 billion, either directly (Executions, Human-Combine Battles, Transhumanation of Captured people, Industrial slaughter of large swathes of population including a cull of all younger people under a certain age, which would work in conjunction with the Suppression Field to 'absolutely' ensure that the current generation of Humanity would be the last) or indirectly (mass introduction of extraterrestrial invasive species such as Antlions or who-knows what which would decimate natural Earthen animal populations and eco-systems which would wreak havoc on peoples who relied on these eco systems, as well as Ecological damage to the Earth by unknown means from the Combine. Polution, draining the oceans, etc. which would also kill people by poisoning or deprivation of resources.)

I suspect that the cannon of Dragon Age Origins is somewhat confirmed by the events of an unimported save file in DA2. Specifically I get the impression that from the ending of DA2 that In origins your Warden in DAO defiled the Urn of Sacred ashes, which is why Leliana in DA2 is "looking" for the warden, and doesnt seem too happy about it. Its also seconded by the fact that Alistair knows the warden will be returning soon, that you chose to take morriganas offer. (all the more reason for Leliana to be pissed) Beyond that, My friend speculates that given how the romances are written and seemingly more in depth for the male romances, that Hawke is either intended to be a gay protagonist, or a female, which I can see because the female romances seem to be less linked to the main story and are simply not written anywhere near as well. Dont know if its a conspiracy .. more on the side of a theory

I don't know about a crazy theory, but my suspicion is that Warhammer Fantasy takes place concurrently with Warhammer 40k.

The basic premise is simply that Orks occupy most corners of the galaxy for reasons that 40k never really chooses to explore. It simply seems that, if a planet doesn't have orks, some means will arrive that will allow them to travel to said planet. Furthermore, the Eldar of 40k are, for all intents and purpose, just Space Elves (unless they're dark Eldar in which case they are simply really Evil Space Elves) and they once controlled much of the galaxy until the fall (and the opening of the eye of terror along with the birth of Slaanesh). Given the enormous length of time between the fall and the current 40k setting, it seems reasonable that there was some isolated world of their empire that simply was not annihilated during the fall proper, largely thanks to competing powers. Supposing the webway access to said world collapsed for some reason (it doesn't really matter what that reason is), survival Eldar would be without the extremely advanced technology of their race and it seems reasonable that they would be forced to step back in technology simply to survive. The presence of humans is easy enough to explain: thanks to widespread colonization of the galaxy more than 10,000 years before the 40k timeline, people ended up on most planets that could support human life. During the crusade that resulted in the Imperium of Man and the Heresy, most of these planets were placed under the heel of the Immortal Emperor but, even according to the 40k fluff, the level of technological sophistication varies immensely and some are even described as "feudal". As for dwarves, that could simply be an example of mutation of humans or they might even be the native residents of the planet while Humans, Eldar and Orks are aliens. A notable problem here is that if said planet is a known part of the Imperium, it is only a matter of time before a crusade is launched that would exterminate at least the elves, probably the dwarves and, quite likely, most of the humans for collaborating with the same, and that's assuming Exterminatus was not enacted given the heavy Chaos presence on the world.
