Harvest Moon a la Sunshine Islands but this time in addition to having finnicky neighbours as well as the water/sun point system you also have to deal with insects devouring your crops and diseases. And if too many crops succumb to disease then townspeople a.) scold you for being cruel to nature and b.) begin to die off. MWAHAHAAAA!

Oh wait, I didn't read the topic properly.

Harvest Moon Sunshine Islands + Earth Defense Force = in addition to the usual Harvest Moon jazz you must fend off hordes of bugs intent on ravaging your farm and the islands with nought but your standard farming tools. Optional NPC snackrifices to the Harvest Goddess...with consequences. With the difficulty of the Souls series for added fun.
