There is no life here, only a chilling reminder of what life once looked like.

No children play here anymore. No wives wait for their husbands to come home. The only things that live here anymore are the vermin, feeding on the remains of once happy memories.

A figure walks down this street. Deep hollows replace where his eyes once were, hinting at the depths of sorrows any normal man could not hope to comprehend.. By contrast his face is widened into a terrifying rictus grin, as though laughing at a joke that only he can hear.

As he treads through yards unkempt, over paths uncared for, through the impromptu graveyards made in a hurry, he remembers things as they once were.
