Back when I was a little nerdling, 11 or 12, I first heard about Warhammer and decided to collect Lizardmen. Never got into 40K for the simple fact that they didn't have God damn Lizardmen. If you can't play as dinosaurs why would you play?

Still, people who play Fantasy are what nerds consider nerds...

I didn't last too long in Warhammer, only a couple of years before my frustrations at the expense of the hobby and my good-for-a-12-year-old-but-still-pretty-crap painting meant I gave the hobby away though. Also the price of the little figurines and the easiness of stealing them from Games Workshop turned me onto shop lifting, (which is possibly the nerdiest criminal origin story in history of the world.)

But I did always think it would work as a computer game and did also think that Creative Assembly would be incredibly well-suited to make it. I just thought that Creative Assembly was married to the idea of taking place in historical settings. I guess when you start making all your games again with a 2 on the end you start looking for other outlets. Warhammer Fantasy should work fantastically in the format and I really hope this happens.
