Creative freedom is dying because of the mainstream blight?

Square Enix is currently trying to appease...corrupt journalists, with their newer products.

You don't need to appease corrupt journalists with your products; just give them a big enough bag of money and they'll give good scores to any piece of garbage. It's the principled journalists you have to appease with your products; the ones who believe in something and will not ignore that belief for any amount of money.

The latter doesn't exist outside of maybe Giant Bomb. And you know, you may be right with the whole money thing...

But in the end, from my time with Escapist I've learned quite a lot; though not in the intended way. Despite being deceived by Ben Croshaw into thinking this was a top-class site for gaming journalism, I've gained further insight into the mainstream mind. When I really stand at the top one day, I'll look back at these posts, and laugh.
