Since I have slight arachnophobia it's obvious I hate fighting spiders. Which is really bad since I love Dark Messiah. No clipping cheat got used a lot so I could take them out at a nice distance. Although It made my choice on rescuing leanna or not later in the game very, very difficult.

Another from Oblivion: Fucking Zombies. They just absorb so much fucking damage. It was especially bad if you were a bow or magic using character, because you always found them in dungeons with no room to maneuver.

Siam from Silent Hill 5. Found ways to beat most other enemies with very low risk of taking damage, but never Siam. Health and ammunition are not that common on hard either, so I'm referring to the use of melee weapons.

I HATE boss battles. I'm still getting through Ocarina of Time, so I've only had one boss battle. I HATED THAT SPIDER!!! It wasn't really that hard, it was just because it took so long, and if you died you'd have to start over.
Use the sling shot when its eye glows red while hanging in the ceiling. Unless I'm wrong, you can finish it before it recovers.

Ansem from Kingdom hearts: Chain of Memories....I've yet to beat the dude and been trying off and on for the past like 6 years lol
If you've played Chain of Memories, have you also played Birth by Sleep? In that game is an enemy currently known as the Unknown, or the Mysterious Figure and on the higher difficulty modes and lower levels he is less of a boss fight and more of an ordeal. Every attack that lands will bring you down to one hp with the finishing blow always right behind.

I've beaten him with all three playable characters, but damned if it never seems to get any easier

Motherfucking zubat.

Hmm. It's level 5. I'm level 20. I think I'll just run rather than waste PP.
Can't escape!
Odd. OK, I'll try again.
Can't escape!
*sigh* Fine, I'll attack.
Lucario hurt itself in its confusion
...fuck you, zubat.

Still on a pokemon theme, anything in black/white with the new and improved sturdy ability. Because artificially forcing a 2-hit KO is annoying. And a constant (if slow) drain on my own 'mon's HP as it means that everything gets at least one attack in.

Cazadores...how i loathe them.

Also, that damn Varterral in Dragon Age II.
It slams the ground and BOOM! Rocks fall down and all my mages are dead, my rogue has 10 hp left and my tank lost half their health...yay.
And you have to fight him twice per play-through...GRAARH!

I highly advise you get the Old World Blues DLC, there is a certain thing you can do in it that will make you laugh the next time you see a cazador.

Geth Colossus.
That is all.
They couldn't have just left it dead from the first game, they had to bring it right on back in the second one.
Nope.
Not Doing it.

wow I had forgoten many of my annoyances untill this thread...

so on my list are:
Drones - Halo 2
Zubats - Pokemon (all of them)
Cazadors - Fallout NV
CREEPERS - Minecraft
GHASTS - Minecraft
Headcrabs- Half Life 2
Flood Infections - Halo 1,2,3...

And of cause for those who play it:
ANTI MATTER City of Heroes.

for those who haven't played the trial.
You have to drag him around without hurting him while taking damage that will half kill you and is unresistable and happens everwhere on the map about every 30 seconds. And if you do hit him the damage goes up. And if you kill him at this point you instantly fail. then you have to click on things and hope he does not insta-kill you with aoe attacks while waiting for an interuptable bar to go down. THen you have to do it 10 times and the that whole thing a total of 2 times. Then to kill him he regenerates huge amounts of health almost instantly if just 1 person in the group of 24 people does 1 thing stupid. ANd even if they don't you have to kill him 3 times!

Honestly there is a reason the trial is not that popular...

Shao Quan or however you spell it, the big annoying as fuck boss in the new Mortal Kombat or Mortal Kombat 9. He so frustratingly fucking overpower for a boss, the only way I manage to beat him is waiting until he starts bragging and running up to him and uppercutting him and hoping when the timer runs out you've got more health than him. Or all that may so how I am awful at those two people fight on 2D plane games. (Don't know the offical term for them)

There is one enemy in Dragon Age, which I would want to go a lifetime without figthing again. It's called a Brood Mother. Those who have seen her, know what I am talking about, and those who have not..., well spare yourself that misery.

Deathclaws. Never really had a problem with the buggers till I did my melee playthrough of New Vegas, now I hate them, especially mother deathclaw. 2 ranks of toughness, stonewall perk & power armor and the ***** still one shots me!
Which is why my attack of the Matriarch was done from very fucking far away, with a sniper rifle, pot-shotting so far away that she can't see me. Deathmoms are super dangerous because they have special berserk status for when you kill the babies.

There IS one thing that I'm tired of in Fallout, though.

It's not Cazadors, oddly enough. Cazadors are not as hard as you think, since they have no armor and such. A quick pull of an SMG is overkill to them and it's a light caliber machine gun. How with the rapid movements do I do that? C'mon, it's what the VATS was made for.

It's not actually Deathclaws. Fallout 3 and up have given me a healthy respect and fear for Deathclaws again and the developers should be proud of that, considering how I had previously owned Deathclaws in Fallout 2. It proves that Holy Crap, even the strong have something to fear! I'm fine with that.

It's not Feral Ghouls, because even the tougher ones I tend to just up the anty with bigger guns until they're dead, very dead, and chunky.

It's not robots, because I can handle them.

What it is...is the Radscorpions. There are just too fucking many of them in New Vegas. Some places, you get 14 GIANT RADSCORPIONS IN A ROW! And even though I have Bloody Mess, Shotgun Surgeon, Entemologist, and THREE LEVELS OF LORD DEATH...it isn't actually enough to put up with it. I don't die, but it's just annoying. Do you know what I get in Fallout 3? A pair, usually. Fallout 2? Six to eight, but they're not as difficult there. I've had my fill, so it's time to turn off that faucet.

The only place I can think of with that many radscorpions is the area north of Goodsprings and west of Quarry Junction and Searchlight Airport. And even then it's nothing a good sniper rifle can't fix, I don't know maybe I'm lucky but I've never had any trouble with radscorpions, I consider them a much lesser threat compared to cazadores and deathclaws. The only radscorpion that has ever given me trouble was the Queen at Camp Searchlight.

For me my personal fear are nightstalkers, they close in so fast that it makes it difficult to hit them and even in VATS it always misses them.

Large groups of Nightstalkers, I treat to backpeddling and full-auto into their ranks. I end up scragging most of them quickly if I confine the spread enough.

Still, getting back to the Radscorpions, there are places where they're programmed to be in abundance and there are places where they just seem to be there enough regularly. Now, I can't remember right now if we're talking about the same area at all, but are you referring to the area where the Brotherhood of Steel laser pistol gets lost in that. That's one for certain if not. Let's not forget the area north of the Mojave Outpost down in the southwest corner of the map. And I know I had a number of them within sight of New Vegas in a northernly direction.

The funny thing is that the queen was the LEAST of my troubles. There's only one, and you know very well that the thing to do is use THE MOST powerful weapon in your arsenal that doesn't have a massive explosion effect. So, the Alien Blaster. The hard part was keeping that idiot I had with me alive so I could cash in on his ass after the mission was over.

What are you trying to tell me here, Escapist?
