Creepy Real-life Video Game Stories

So what started as an innocent attempt to catch up with friends over Skype turned into a night filled with some of the creepiest video game-related campfire stories I've ever heard. They usually involve some kind of haunting caused by the death of someone who played the game, or just some seriously creepy shit programmed subliminally in the game.

My girlfriend and I are working on a world together at the moment on normal difficulty, she's building a scale model of Moria whilst I'm making a bunch of interlinking castles with the excess stone and we sleep with our swords, it's freaking creepy. Plus, I just read the story of Herobrine, so I don't think I'll be playing again today. :/
