Title really suggests it all.

My story, I was sleeping in bed, it was around 2AM, i could tell because there was a clock next to me, but i couldn't move, i was absolutely paralyzed. Everything seemed to have the volume turned up, every creak in the floor seemed to sound like a wrecking ball, and i remember my door opening and a shadowy figure looking at me. I just closed my eyes, and opened them again, and it was still there, i like to think i passed or maybe just fell back asleep, when i woke up my head was killing me. i still cannot explain what happened to this day.
My dear friend, that shit happens to me all the time.

I awoke in a complete sweat screaming as I threw a viciously terrifying beast off of me and leaped out of bed into the hallway, having this terrible feeling to never enter my room again, but this quickly passed with a couple Benadril and Advil. A few weeks later I woke up and saw a demented looking girl staring right at my face, alike you it didn't go away after the first blink, nor the second or the third. I eventually was able to turn on my bedside light and nothing was there. The latest one I have had was at my cousins house. This one still haunts me horribly.

We had made a makeshift bed out of large pillows, big comforters, blankets and the likes and turned out to be very comfy. I however awoke in what we believed to be the heater room on the floor. I got up only to be met by a rock wall and scraped all of my knuckles quite badly as I walked around to find the exit. I couldn't find it and began to panic when I hear the laughter of a little girl, I followed it (just like I'm not supposed to) and actually found the exit. I still had no idea where I was. I heard the laughter again and followed it, this went on for a very long time as I dodged around oddly placed furniture until I saw the makeshift bed. I tried to awaken my cousin but he did not budge. I fell asleep and awoke with bloody knuckles. Haha....sucks....

Also I'll occasionally awake to a voice whispering my name right in my ear it seems.

I don't blame you if you think this is bullshit. It sounds like a demented movie or book or something, but take my word. These are extremely terrifying and real to me.

Anyways. That's the weird shit that goes on in my life! Thanks for reading xD.

Thank you for making a topic like this. Interesting to see I'm not alone.
Wow. And this is all caused by some sort of condition?
I'm not going to call bullshit on you but I will say that a strange amount of Escapists seem to have some pretty paranormal stuff going on...

2)me and my friend were watching a ghost program called most haunted, we were totally addictted to it and watched it all the time. the next day we went to the park and heard a twig snap, being as addicted to most haunted as we were decided to call out. we asked mothing in perticular "can you here us, snap one twig for yes two for no", one twig snap, we thought it still could be coincidence and asked some more questions with yes being two twigs this time more twigs snapped with quite a few being yes. now my friend decided to ask it "do you wish to hurt us 1 for no 2 for yes"...2 twigs snapped. we ran for our lifes and never looked back. to this day were still scared of that park

I was sitting at home alone at night, when I received a phone call. A heavy breathing man asked "What's your favorite scary movie?" I pondered for a moment before I replied "Deliverance". There was a pause on the other end and he said "Uh....im not coming to your place. you are f'ed up." He hung up.
EPIC sounds like a great prank call

Not something that happened to me, but a close friend of mine.

When she was on a trip in California, when they passed by a beach, she found a broken butterfly wing. She took it with her, and continued on. Then in the car, her iPod was on Shuffle Mode and the first song to pop up was Rip Out The Wings of A Butterfly. Then they passed a lighthouse, and she saw that it looked exactly the same as the one in the video of the song she listened to. Then she accidentally lost the wing on the way home. But then, a long time later, she found it under her bookshelf.

It's creepy in the way that it shouldn't happen.

Not that creepy I suppose but here goes.
About a year ago I had a dream where I went through a day at school. And then in the morning, the majority of my school day was almost identical to my dream, right down to what a few people said.
Weird.

I have wierd dreams that then happen in real life, identically.

But another one is that I always assort things on my shelf in a certain way but they all just get moved. No one ever goes into my room so I'm the only person who could move them.

Events may be out of order, but what the hell, I'll chronicle my unexplainable.

Uhm... Fast forward 15 or so years, I was driving home with my little brother, and there's this really FUN S-curve into my neighborhood that NEVER has cops, is low traffic, and FUN to take at 50+ (It's a 30 zone). Well, this time there was enough traffic that I wasn't driving like a retard, it was late evening so the sun was setting. Over the field on the opposite side of the road, my brother and I both saw the same thing. It had a wingspan of at LEAST nine, ten feet, a long, narrow, flexible tail, and a triangular head on the end of a flexible neck. I damn near hit a tree staring at it. I looked away as it suddenly dove into the field which hadn't been mown for hay yet, so still had really tall grass, dodged the curb, got back to driving right, and it was gone. Haven't seen it since, but I saw a fucking dragon. It wasn't a bird, it wasn't a kite, it moved biologically, not like a kite. Had BAT wings, wasn't a BIRD.
Do you happen to live in New Jersey? This could explain it...

I hope you actually were just seeing things...
Haha, nah. I'm a Texan. And don't even TRY and blame it on the Chupacabra, they don't fly. =p

I once opened a can of soup I bought, and it was empty. I just sat down and stared at that god damn can for thirty minutes, just me and the can, staring each other down. I couldn't think of anything to think about, so I jast sat and stared at the can. I went out and bought more soup, and filled the empty can with the soup.
THE END OF DAYS IS FORETOLD BY THE COMING OF THE EMPTY SOUP. KNOW FEAR
It didn't help, and I didn't eat the soup, but I no longer buy soup of that brand. I still have that can somewhere, although it seems to have crept away.

Then you have seen too much...

This happened 5 years ago.

I was standing at the computer...at 3 in the morning listening to music and browsing the internet. The speakers went silent and I couldn't hear nothing for the first few seconds. Tried to fix it but then I heard something(from the speakers). It was like this voice was saying something but it was very static so I couldn't understand a thing. After about 3 minutes of that I started hearing the music again and everything was back to normal.
.
i have that quite often aswell also at night.ad a few times ive had the speakers wisper even though they were off. a guy said eairler in the thread that this might be radio stations and he had it with his itil he got a new one

Me and a friend tried out an ouiji board. We were seven, maybe eight years old.
Nothing happened, but I felt like I was being watched for the rest of the time I was at his place.

Needless to say, I've never been back in my mates house since.

Pff you think this is scary? I've lost track of how many nights I've been kept up by this thread [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.119187].
Even though it's hard to take that story seriously, there was a point (you know...) that I got a chill from it. I kind of skimmed over the rest after that, careful not to focus.

These are great stories.

I've been living for almost a year now in a 19th century (1850's) cottage that used to be the gatehouse for a large estate which has since been chopped up into upmarket suburbs. Now this cottage sits on the other side of a wall from a major intersection, so generally when I wake up some nights to screeching sounds, I register that it's another truck coming down from the hills and braking at the lights. Sometimes though, those truck brakes sound really wierd, like there's too many lasting too long for a vehicle. That's not the worst though, sometimes they kinda sound like screaming.

Strangest thing that ever happened to me was when I was about 4/5, I was sitting waving out the window and when asked who it was I kept saying "the man." Anyway, a few days later we went to visit my grandpa and I simply said "that's the man," before getting confused looks. 3 days later he died...I still have no idea how that one worked out o_O and

That's a great thread, although there's not been many new stories lately...
