Is there any word you hate hearing? I mean really HATE like the sound of a claws scrapping a chalkboard. You don't say it yourself, you hate people using it infront of you, and maybe you get upset hearing it or it being written.

I hate hearing the word **** for some reason. I don't use it. Besides, pussy/whore/ho seems to do just fine.

I know a lot of women that hate the word ****, but for me, the only words I really hate are racial slurs and even with those I say them in my head when I think it'd be funny, but I never speak them aloud because it's rude and demeaning to an entire race of people.

Lol, rofl, lmao, crap like that. Grrrr...

Those are the only words I don't like, any others are fine. Unless they're meant to be insults and directed at me or a good person.

"Emo".
Seriously, what does it even mean?
EMOtional?
I also hate the hipster-words like: dawg, daddy-o, lol, lmao, rofl, fail,...

Any word which comes under "offensive", from swearing to racial/homophobic/misogynistic slurs etcetera. They just sound so jarring.

Also "sexy". You wouldn't use it as a compliment cause it just sounds so pathetic, but it's still a positive adjective.

Words that drive me berserk:

"Leadership."
"Format."
"Dollar-Value LIFO." (seriously, DVL can go eat a dick.)
Anything you hear from corporate managers, really.

"Nevermind"

Now, before you stare at me weirdly, consider the the reasoning behind it first. This is something that happened in my house alot. They bring up something and when you - or in this case, I - respond in a manner that doesn't suit them, they go "Nevermind". Or something similarly annoying. Well, I don't DO nevermind. You got my attention, so you SPEAK. So, I put the hate on anyone trying to shut me out of something once they've already decided to bother me about it. That's the reason.

Isn't 'Disorientated' a word too? I'm pretty sure it is. My Microsoft Word doesn't correct it at any rate.

Racial slurs. Even when used in rap or in jest, they still just don't sit well on my ears.

"Negative growth" - What our (=German) economy is doing, usually said very happily, completely forgetting the fact that there's an easier phrase for it: "Shit we're in deep trouble now".
Also, "Quantum leap". People, a "quantum leap" is the smallest possible change in state, usually from a higher level (of energy) to a lower one. That doesn't sound good when you use it to describe something like "Man, our total revenue made a quantum leap this quarter."

Man, I hate when people use words because they sound big and important, only to completely undermine their point, without them noticing.
Politics sucks :(

"Fucking"
That right there makes me want to slap someone across the face with the power of 30 hurricanes.
Actually most kinds of swearing ticks me off somewhat. If you are not a child, don't talk like a poorly raised one..
But especially fucking...

I don't know, I don't like it, but I do know that other parts of the world use it like the word fuck. I was watching this Australian comedian's stand up. He was using **** every five minutes almost. I couldn't hear any else but that word like someone was poking my ear.

Here is a piece of him:

Disorientated is the British-English and therefore original spelling and pronunciation.

Disoriented is an American slur.

Coming from a guy with a Reservoir Dogs avatar that strikes me as a little odd, no offense.

Anyway, over here people have a bad habbit of using the word 'cancer' as a replacement for 'fucking' and the like. My brother says it a lot and it makes me want to punch him in the face.

The word "lol" used as an actual word and not an internet acronym. Gawd, that's just awful.
