Not to sound like a call of duty fan but i didn't like Battlefield 3, i loved the first 2 because of there humor and distructo scenery, it felt like they had ripped off from them, the engine with the ability to jump over obstacles quickly was a good idea that should be incorporated into more shooters, jet fighter thing ehh would of been better if u were allowed to fly the bloody thing instead of playing shot gun

Ohh i almost forgot borderlands just couldn't believe the amount of hype that went in to it and we got something that looked cartoonish, difficult to navigate though menus and just no storyline other than find the treasure, 2nd worst game ever

Mass Effect. Talked about that one many times so I can't be bothered to get worked up about it again.

Fable 2. Same story as Mass Effect.

NFS Shift and Hot Pursuit. They just suck. I have no idea what these critics are talking about when they praise these games. They are just talking blatant lies. How they describe the games is NOTHING like how they actually play. I think there's something going on that we aren't told about with those games when the press gets hold of them.

Final Fantasy. They're so so dull and linear. The only one I've actually enjoyed is FFIII on the DS, and I never got that far on it. Got bored of grinding. I had an okay time with X but again I didn't get far. III was better.

But there are several games that were slated by critics that I really enjoyed. Test Drive Unlimited 2 for example. It's not the best racing game in the world but I think it's still great fun. A lot of the critical negativity of that came from the broken servers at launch, which are far more competent now. And they are releasing huge free updates for it every now and then too. Also Ninety Nine Nights. I don't have it anymore because I got stuck on one bit and couldn't get any further but I really liked that game, despite not being a fan of the genre at all. I really liked the characters and the lore they created for it. And I loved the combos you could do. If you took advantage of them then it was really enjoyable. I was really surprised they made a sequel to that game given the performance of the first. I always felt like the lore had a lot of potential to be expanded on, but when I played the demo I was disappointed. It was crap.

Oblivion, it's baby's first RPG. Pretty world that lacks any soul or personality, a trophy wife.

Mass Effect, I found it to be a poor clone of Gears of War gameplay wise. On a similar note, Bioware has been making the same game now since KOTOR 1 released.

Beyond Good and Evil: Very dull and unengaging. I stopped playing extremely quickly.
The Darkness: Same as above. And in certain places it was unclear as to where I should go, so I logically left the game entirely...
Knights of the Old Republic: Not the biggest RPG fan, but I didn't honestly think it was possible to make the Star Wars universe that boring. It took so, so long to get going properly and I spent most of my time wandering back and forwards between uninspiring quests.

FF7: Am I the only person that was glad to see Aeris get stabbed? She was sooooooo boring and useless.

GTA San Andreas: Honestly the only game in the series I enjoyed was Vice City. The others didn't have the same fun factor to me.

CoD MW2: Played for like a hour. Boring, trade in for something less "realistic".

BlazBlue series: (Not sure how acclaimed it was but most of my friends loved it.) Just doesn't feel right to me. Not really sure why.

Borderlands, monotonous drivel, the loot system sucked, way too few slots and the abilities given weren't hugely interesting. Couldn't even be bothered getting to the vault though I heard it as a huge letdown.
Halo, copypasta levels
Fable, couldn't be stuffed with 2 + 3 after getting bored of 1 (though I amnaged to force myself to complete the lost chapters)
Mass Effect 2, probeing for minerals, whoever came up with that being necessary for the best end should die with nails in their eyes
CoD, just bores me, give me doom 2 anyday
Splinter cell games ever since I played theif 2

Mass Effect: impact-less moral choice system made shepard feel like a soulless puppet, very stiff conversations, and 2d moral choice. Combat got down to chest-high walls in second one though.
Dragon Age: sluggish-combat, and stiff characters, you can't speak(soulless main character), clusterF battles.
(yay! other people do hate this game too!)

Dragon Age 2: Commander Shepard 200BC! :|
KOTOR: stiff-combat, stiff characters, animations are bland.

Black ops: I actually dozed off through the non-stop explosions and screaming people.

Fallout: stiff-emotionless characters,non-existent main character, difficulty drops too much as the game progresses, even on padded very hard mode.

Sims: how can you play this game for more than 20 minutes? Zombies have more personality than those sims( at least you don't have to make them use the toilet every 5 minutes )

Angry Birds: good replacement for sleeping pills!
zombies & plants : repetitive gameplay. One of the few zombie games i don't like

Red Dead Redemption, Halo, Black Ops, Bioshock, Battlefield BC2, Borderlands, Brink, Bulletstorm, Crysis 2, Dragon Age 2, Dawn of War 2, Gears of War 1 and 2. I expect 3 would be similar for me.

I find it funny that the things people say the didn't like in games is often what reviewers praised. It seems that people just are being deliberately contradictory

The Zelda series isn't for everyone. Like Susan Arendt mentioned it her review of Skyward Sword things get a bit samey and makes it feel worn out and that you can easily figure out the puzzles. Now I haven't played them all, but the two I enjoyed the most are Majora's Mask and Wind Waker. Mostly because those two can't really be compared to anything. As far as story goes in those I've played through I am not sure I would agree. The story isn't that childish. It's just not very well written. Also I don't think you will be torn apart over this opinion because you actually gave good reasons for not liking it.

Now I don't like Bioshock. I don't know why. Seriously. Everything is great! The graphics, the atmosphere, the story and the biologic engineering is great. I laugh when I burn a crowd of enemies to crisps. However I am unable to hold any love or interest for it. I have played 75 minutes and I bought that game when it was new.

Mass Effect series. Yeah I really don't like it. I got through the tutorial and some of the opening story on both games. Mass Effect's tutorial and opening story took me 2 hours and at some point I realized I was just skipping every wall of text that appeared on the screen. That's when I realized I was playing a dating sim with a combat system. When I was skipping every part of the story in a game that fans love for its story not for its gameplay and I hated the story's way of presentation then I figured it wasn't the game for me.

Hmm, I think I have a fair few.

Halo series: I've honestly just always found those games tedious and with poor gameplay.

Call of duty series: see above

Dead space: I'm sure I've said this before but it's just the most predictable non scary, badly paced game with the most over powered weapons.

Dragon age: Origins: It bored me, which was a shame, since I loved mass effect.

Oblivion: Again, it just bored me, which probably doesn't make sense, since I also loved fallout 3. Also, this is why I'm not buying skyrim, to the horror of many of my gamer friends...

The Witcher 2: not sure why i disliked this one, then I didnt get very far in either. I'll probably give that one another chance at some point.

Crysis: see above. I expected to like this one, and to its credit I think the game itself looks incredible. As I said, I'll probably give this one another chance at some point

Borderlands: just....eugh

Gears of war: I didnt even like the camera angle on this one, I mean, I've played 3rd person shooters before, but something about it really annoyed me. And yeah, standard boring shooter to me.

That'll do for now I think

Final Fantasy XIII. For a game that comes on multiple discs, it should have been more than walk down corridor, beat enemies repeat. I just can't quite get into it.

And Bioshock 2. I'd completed the first one within days of getting it, but the second one...meh...I'm up to the bit where you hae to find three Little Sisters and I just don't have the motivation to go back to it.

the second one actually is nowhere near as good as the 1st

so you're opinion is justifyable

You know I thought Aerius was introduced to the game just so she could be killed later and create a sad scene where she dies, but without removing anyone important to enjoy the game.

Now personally I liked Borderlands despite the repetitive gameplay, but if you didn't like it then I advice you to not bother trying to finish it ever. The Vault really isn't worth it.

You get to it just in the nick of time and the guys who tricked you into gathering the key to opening it are just opening it to reveal a monster that has been trapped inside to guard the treasure. After you kill it the time to get into the vault has passed and it can't be opened in your lifetime. So basically everything you were supposed to look forward to just crumbles between your fingers and it all seems like a waste.

And sometimes people love what the reviewers love. It's crazy that people often have different opinions.
