Have you seen any of the crossbows of a more modern era? Trust me they will fit in well, the new crossbows can be very powerful with high precision and can be repeater crossbows which have considerably faster fire rates than the kind of crossbow you're thinking of. Crossbows didn't die out in the 1400's you know!jacx said:

If it works like that, I'm totaly going to use it. I have bad luck with grenades. I tend to hit the very tip of the walls, resulting in a lethal (yet hilarious) suicide. With precision aiming instead of accounting for an arc, I'd hardly use a gun, even without the explosive tips. As long as its not as powerful as the noobtube, I already have my weapon of choice even before the game came out.MiracleOfSound said:

They're getting around the whole 'guns not being invented yet' thing by saying that these elite soldiers had access to weapons that were still being designed. I think it's a pretty lame excuse myself.

Fun Fact: The automatic crossbow goes as far back as before christ, and as far today as the early eighteen hundreds. So yes it's practical. I could see it being the riot shield of Modern Warfare 2 though (seems out of place, unfair, ect.)
