We all love crossovers, and particularly crossover fanfiction and multiplayer games, right? For some reason, we get massive kicks out of Wolverine beating the crap out of Chris Redfield and Ranma being a Sailor Senshi. So, here's what I want you to tell me:

Any crossovers, whether you've seen anyone else do it or not, that just...click for you. Also, it'd be great if you told me which format you think it'd work best in: animation, live action, art, literature, graphic novel or game.

Personally, I have to invoke Rule (9) here and say Touhou with anything, but particularly the Doctor Who universe, the Buffyverse, Smash Bros. and just about any anime aimed at young girls or middle-aged pedos. I also think that Warhammer 40K and Sailor Moon would be epic. So that's my opinions. Get to it, Escapists.

One of my friends had a revelation, crossover-wise. You have to be familiar with both Angel and Captain Jack from Torchwood/Doctor Who to get it, though. Okay. In Angel, the Immortal is described as... well... immortal, yet not a vampire. He's a sex fiend, and has a good, playful sense of humor.

...The Immortal is Captain Jack. xD

Also, I agree with you about Buffy and Doctor Who. They cross with anything. For Buffy, spell went wrong/someone made a wish can explain anything, and Doctor Who... is Doctor Who.

Kingdom Hearts? I mean, seriously, who would have thought that Final Fantasy and Disney would actually work? Admittedly, I started playing the first one for the opportunity to fight Cloud, Squall, and Sephiroth, and then found a good game. Even the story made some sense. It just worked. Somehow.

Alien vs. Predator is a really good crossover series.
Assuming you don't count the movies.
Or the single player campaigns.
Or about half of the comics.

Come to think of it, I would love to see Deadpool have a crossover in the Alien universe. Or Cassie Hack & Vlad get dumped into the middle of a Scooby Doo mystery...

I'm not a big fan of crossovers because it usually requires some incredibly contrived reason as to why Group A and Group B suddenly end up in the same universe. However, I think the Super Smash Brothers series is quite a good crossover.

Aliens Vs Predator.

Even though the recent films have been sub-par, the concept is made of pure, unadulterated win.
Precisely. You have to wonder what the person who came up with that idea thinks of the result.

I suppose it's cheating to mention Stephen King? The man has references to many of his books in many of his books, culminating in his Dark Tower series. But they're all his works, so that may not count.

I love the SSB games, fighting Star Fox as Link never gets old.

There's an easter egg in Dragon Age: Origins that the moon is a planet in Mass Effect.

Which means that Dragon Age: Origins takes place in the same universe. Perhaps even... during the same time?

I would love to see them do more with this idea. Fantasy/Sci-fi hybrid RPG? Hell yes.

For some reason, she fits into this universe very well.

There is a pretty good Fantasy/Sci-fi hybrid - it's called Warhammer 40,000. [sub]shameless plug[/sub]
Yeah, and WH40K: Dawn of War is my 3rd favourite game of all time.

But it's not enough. I WANT MORE. A Mass Effect/Dragon Age crossover would do me juuuuuust fine.

Well a Bayonetta and Devil may Cry crossovers would totally work.

As for existing one Super Smash Bros is a good one.

Iron Man thinks it's cool. Who are you to judge Iron Man?
Holy shitballs, that was funny!

I gotta say, I do love JohnnyUtah's flash animations, but that was just something else. XD

I think I've actually read a fanfiction like that, where Shepherd crash lands on their planet and it is an interesting mess of technology meets magic.
A ME/DA crossover game or even two games that overlap eachother would be extremely interesting, though!
