What moment during gaming are you most proud of? It can be anything, even if there is no achievement for it or anything other than your pride as a reward. For me, it would be 5-starring One on Expert on GHIII.

Just beating Devil May Cry 3 and Odin Sphere was a huge accomplishment right there. If you've played them you know what I mean.

Also getting my first lv 9999 character in disgaea was pretty awesome as well.

one of the best times in my gaming past was finally beating Jordan on Expert.
...Well, thanks for accidentally emasculating my Guitar Hero skills. I still cannot get through the solo on that song.

At least you guys are better than me, although I've only played it once.

I know I'm being sterotypical but damn you are a god.

Another awesome moment is when I killed the hydra in GoW1. epic moment right there.

Also when I caught a mewtwo with a pokeball. Probably took me 25 pokeballs to get it.

there is some sort of secret joy in headshotting a dodging scout (tf2) by randomly aiming and clicking.

throwing a plasma grenade in halo over a wall blindly and sticking someone

Killing 6 people with 6 bullets in STALKER. Not separated, it was all in one fight. Master difficulty, crosshairs turned off. Then I was out of ammo, and was promptly shot in the face by the seventh bandit.

Or... realizing that I am too good at STALKER and having to turn the difficulty all the way up and turn off the crosshairs.

Any time the Soviet team win on the map Kriegstadt in Red Orchestra.

This probably means nothing to most of the people on this forum so I'll just lay it out: It's a 75 minute long slug through the streets of Berlin that finishes with an incredibly hard bridge objective where the Germans can fire on you from two buildings on the opposite side of the bridge.

For me and I'm sure all the people on my team when we've won it as the Soviets, it's just an overwhelming feeling of "YES! We did it!"

TF2 is so chaotic that ridiculous things happen all the time...but nothing beats the time I was playing as Scout, leapt madly into a huge group of enemies with no backup, and clubbed 5 of them to death with my bat before finally getting blown up. They must have been pretty embarrassed by that one.

launching a "hammer" missile in ET:QW, directly over an objective that the opposing team was meant to construct, just as their engineers got to it.

for those that do not play ET:QW, the hammer missile is essentially a small nuclear bomb.

Based on what the latest Escapist article said about Urban Chaos, winning the final hostage situation on Terror difficulty with having just filled all the criteria for the medals should count.

Finishing the Clotho endurance run on Titan mode in God of War 2. Once you get past that you know you've basically got the game won.

i'm gonna have to say conquering first person shooters. for the longest time i just couldnt get myself to control the camera AND my person at the same time. once i got it down (this happened playing call of duty 4 with my friend that PWNs at that game) i started kicking serious ass. i actually got 17 kills as opposed to my normal 3 (2 of which were probably mistakes anyway xD) that was really cool for me.

Beating my flatmate at C & C: Generals. We'd played obsessively for a year, then finally got the chance to play each other, so we built up the tension. We had everything we need by the afternoon, but we taunted each other, made bets and talked about how we were going annihilate each other all day, then finally set it up at about 8. The game lasted till midnight, and there were some awesome moments. We both would go for the same supplies at the same time, building little bases right next to each other and having a war of attrition. He was US and I was China, so he would try and helicopter in troops to buildings, but I would napalm them, and then he would bomb my trucks...man it was awesome.

It was pure numbers and perseverance in the end that won it for me. We've only had a few more games since and we've always been really nervous and afraid to take the risks we took in the first game, but nothing will beat that moment when I fought through his defences...ah...

Sorry.
