I've never actually cried*, but I came really close at the ends of Final Fantasy X and Shadow of the Colossus. I felt something in my throat and had that preliminary buildup behind the eyes, but no tears actually came.

I'm usually pretty stoic, but some media can get to me occasionally...just occasionally.

*at a game. Almost tried to pass myself off as Chuck Norris there. :D

1. No I haven't cried to a video game. A friend of mine cried 'man tears' to a Metal Gear Solid ending..where you have to kill the boss?

2. I think it's awesome if a video game can make you cry, that's supper effective immersion and game design!

1. Not yet. I've started to "become" my character more easily, so I expect this to happen to me soon.

I almost cried at the ending of a game, but my family was in the room. I have this weird thing about getting immersed in a game or any other story around other people; I can't enjoy the story without getting embarrassed.

ANYway.

2. Yes, it's okay to cry when something moves you, be it a game or a book or even just a really deep thought.

I bet the audience were the same brain dead fucktards who cried at the Sex & The City Movie and had the happiest time of their lives during a sing-a-long screening of Mama Mia. Ergo, fuck 'em.
As for crying for a game. Only in frustration.

Almost, HL2.2's ending, and yes, it's okay, and yes, this has been done before.
I replayed HL2.1 many times over. Ever since I finished HL2.2 I have not replayed it once beyond visiting the Garden Gnome. I just can't knowning what happens at the end

1: I shed a tear or two when I was about 8 (give or take) while playing Legend of Dragoon on the PS1, it was when one of the main characters got killed... that's all I remember about it.

2: No more or less the crying over any other form of media.

1) yes
2) yes

I have cried over games for different reasons. Although never over the story line. I cried over wanting a game badly. I cried over losing a game. I cried over winning a game once, but that was perfectly fine because it was IMPOSSIBLE! imagine playing mario frustration like they want you to, double the length of the level, and beating it.

And i think it's perfectly fine for a person to cry over games, just not the story line. If you cried over aeris's death in FFVII, see a doctor, you might have lost your balls.

Note: girls can cry all they want so the past statements were not for them.

1) Yes, but I always cry over the wrong bits, like when a cat goes missing or something. Sometimes I get so emotionally involved with the character, seeing them cry sets me off too.
2)It's perfectly fine. It's better to cry at a sad game rather than be an emotionless freak.

Bunch of blubbering pansies!

1) Closest I came to crying was at the end of HL2:EP2, although I did cry at the end of I Am Legend (not a game but still...)

2) Fo' sho'!

Actually, no, I've never cried in response to a video game. That said, I'd be lying if I didn't say that video games haven't instilled various emotions in me, like fear, anger, hatred, relief, and even sadness. These, in my eyes, are completely normal, since the aim of the video game is to 'pull your heart-strings', so to speak.

As for people (what, even girls play video games) crying towards video games... I don't really care, since it doesn't affect me. I have no reservations towards it, because, like I said, a well-made video game story will tug here and there.

Oh, and this 'Tyra Banks' seems like a real *****... maybe I should laugh when she cries when viewing something that affects her emotionally?

I almost cried at the end of MGS3. They would have been tears of patriotism. I defy any Tyra-watching women to play the entirety of MGS3 and NOT cry at the end.

I also almost cried at a certain point in Chrono Trigger. You know... that one.
