One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest has me crying for about 20 minutes when
Billy dies
and everything that happens afterward. My eyes were bloodshot and hurt like hell after but it was worth it.

When i was a child Lion King did it. The scene mufasa dies. I still avoid that scene, it makes me feel weird.
Havent really produced tears since, although there are ones which played my heartstrings like a flippin guitar. Namely The beginning of Up, Toy Story 3 and much more recently Deep Impact.

Well, I guess it's a pretty bland movie then.
I really hope your not talking about saving private ryan, i will defend that film to the death.

also guys please use spoilers, if i hadn't already seen SPR i would of just had it spoiled.

OT just three films made my actually cry, and they are toy story 3, SPR and click.
Well it's a movie about soldiers getting killed. It's not that sad, that's basically their job. Shoot guys, get shot by guys, get put in a bag. There are great war movies like "Schindler's List" and "The Pianist" and one thing they have in common is not trying to make viewers feel sorry for the Americans, because, you know, they decided to go to war. "Everything Is Illuminated" is also way better in absolutely every way possible and it's an adventure/dramedy. If you haven't seen it you're missing out.
Are you telling me you werent moved at all by the soldiers deaths? i wont spoil them for others but i found them very sad. differing opinions i guess. Just because it was americas decision to go to war you think that none of the Americans that died should be pitied? or mourned? just because it was americas decision? in fact it wasnt even their decision, they were attacked by japan, were they going to remain neutral after that?

Also i wouldnt define schindlers list as a war film, that makes it sound like an action film, which wouldnt do it justice. The same goes for the pianist.

Damn I blub like a girl during heart-wrenching or really sad bits of films.

Toy Story 3 made me blub and, when I was very little, I had to be taken out of The Fox and the Hound because I was in floods. Bolt raised a tear during the climax and, if I watch the "John Glenn's Orbit" scene from The Right Stuff when intoxicated I have to dig out the Kleenex.

Deaths don't bother me so much as the "heartwarming" aspect I suppose. As much as people [who know me] think of me as some kind of hard-arse, the truth is I am a soppy bastard at heart.

The last film to make me cry was Toy Story 3... I basically said goodbye to my childhood at the end of that :(

I almost, almost cried at the very end of Toy Story 3. I could feel my eyes welling up, but being the 19 year old dude that I am, I forced myself to not do so.

However, I have been told that when I was young, I cried crocodile tears when Mufasa died toward the middle of The Lion King. Looking back upon that movie, I would believe it.

Damn, someone should make Tom Hanks pay for all the tears he seems to have caused.
The end of The Great Escape always gets me a little lumpy-throated, but I think I only cried the first time I saw it.
Then there's Man on the Moon.
Andy's funeral makes me bawl like a tiny, tiny child every damn time.

I nearly cried during Toy Story 3 and I hadn't even seen the first two movies, so full credit to Pixar there.

And I would cry at an operatic adaptation of Charlotte's Web so the movie was no exception.

I cry a lot on movies, I easily "connect" with the story/situation.

But on I Am Legend... I choked. I couldn't stop crying the whole movie. I swear I was so so moved that the impression and me getting wet eyes every time I think of it lasted for more than three weeks. :|

They are about the war so they are war films. War film doesn't mean action. I'm not saying I wasn't moved by the deaths in Saving Ryan's Privates, I'm saying I wasn't moved much. Soldiers(professional at least) aren't the real victims of war. Also I'm not at all good with history but I think Pearl Harbor was completely militarized when the attack happened and America answered to that by bombing the shit out of civilians. Kinda what they did after 9/11. "Pearl Harbor" is a crappy movie by the way.
I havent seen pearl harbor, so i cant judge it. technically you are right about the war film thing, i just feel that its about the victims of war, not the actual war. I realise i should of said that, so my bad. I agree that the soldiers arent the real victims, its the civilians.

Im not saying america did the right thing by attacking japanese civilians but every country in the war that carried out air raids did the same, both the allies and otherwise. It isnt nice, but it works. Also i may be wrong here but if your referencing the atomic bombs that would require a large debate over whether it was right or wrong so i will leave that out.

Shawshank Redemption - Brooks scene, that's all I'll say.

On a more embarassing note I've cried at scenes involving Captain Quark ... twice.
I'm an emotional person and there's nothing wrong with that ... damnit.

I can think of two that I've watched fairly recently.
