*Some minor spoilers*
This is a roguelike with a rhythm component - the amount of coins received which purchases item upgrades depends on how well you maintain your rhythm (movement/actions) in the game.
This makes for an exciting tradeoff - it's easier to fight enemies without maintaining rhythm but it's more fun and more lucrative to fight while "dancing".
The enemies have different movement sets, speeds, and manners of attack, and your character acquires different weapons which affect damage and attack area of effect.
Each level is time-limited by the length of the song you're dancing to - you'll go to the next level automatically when the song ends but you're often in a bad position surrounded by enemies. There's an official exit to each level unlocked by killing a mini-boss which gives an ideal position to start the next level.
There are currently four zones in the game, with large differences in the enemies in the first two zones (I haven't beaten the second zone). The end of zone bosses I've faced so far have been brilliant - with Congo Line and Chess themes, reflecting the nature of the game itself.
This game is already very very fun to play, and there's a lot of potential to make it even better.
