Ok, I know, it has been 8 weeks since my last review. Although, considering that my total audience is my employer and his 2 friends, should I be stressing?...*sigh*...Baby steps...a GamyStar & FastGames game is like...THE easiest review...I have this one in the bag...*deep breath*
Fallen From The Moon is a GamyStar & FastGames production. We should all know how these go by now, considering there have been two other ones (Little Wheel & Easy Joe) so far. These games are the kind you finish on your lunch break/school recess with help of your laptop. Just in case you somehow missed the boat, these games are really quick (15 minutes, tops), and pride themselves on their charm. Like eating a delicious hors d'oeuvre. It doesn't go far, but damn is that tasty.
Fallen From The Moon has a simple premise, as is typical of these productions. There is a cute man-child living on the moon. However, caught unprepared by the moon's phase cycle, he falls off the moon, and plummets into the Earth. Now, with help of a magic pointy cursor thing, he's going to go back to his cheesy home in the sky.
To have said man-child advance, you'll mostly be operating heavy machinery, and helping the M-C do some really intriguing acrobatic stunts. Along the way, you'll also build a 12-ft. tall snowman, make a tree vanish into thin air, distract a bear, and perform a prostate exam on a canine. (No, I'm really not kidding on the last bit, you have to actually do that to get a key.) The gameplay is quite straightforward, just experiment and click on stuff until you can get the M-C progress to the right. It is easy enough so that it never gets frustrating, and the game is short enough so that it is never ever tedious.
Gameplay-wise, if you've ever played a GamyStar & FastGames production, you've played this. However, I?m not sure you'll find this aesthetic...anywhere else. So, how does this game stack up with its successors? Well, just like Easy Joe topped Little Wheel, Fallen From The Moon has topped Easy Joe. Point is, get playing. Now. Hurry up!
...Good, is everyone gone?...Good...I need an herbal bath to pass out in.
