The Pokemon trainer gets mugged.
It was nightfall and Ted the budding trainer was attempting to catch his very first Pokemon. Because Ted was a few sandwiches short of a picnic he had decided that catching a Metapod would be the easiest and the best choice to begin his dreams of becoming the worlds most renown trainer. For years Ted had studied Pokemon; Tracking them, watching them and much to his parents worry throwing rocks at them in practice for when he received his first pokeball.
And this was that night.
Stalking through the scrub Ted was grasping his pokeball with a trembling hand. What if he missed? What if he failed? Doubt began to creep into his mind like a drunk husband sneaking into the spare room to avoid the inevitable yelling of his wife.
Stumbling over a red herring of a log, Ted tumbled and bumbled down a small grassy hill coming to rest on top of a Nidoran. Having stunned the Nidoran and partially winding himself Ted saw his chance and hurled his discount brand pokeball with a little too much force breaking the unconscious pokemon's ribs but still catching it.
With his new (and still un-consulted about the whole situation) found best friend in hand Ted decide to treat himself to Magikarp sushi at the local crimes against nature restaurant. So he set off down the dimly lit pathway back towards town.
"DON'T MOVE! GIVE ME YOUR WALLET!"
A stranger shouted at Ted. The young trainer startled by his opponent quivered,
"Oh no please don't take my Pokemon he is my best friend."
The mugger pulling out a gun and becoming agitated replied,
"Pokemon!? Fuck that give me you wallet!"
Ted flashing back to a pokemon battle program he watched with an overenthusiastic fever settled himself and challenged his assailant.
"Well if it's my money you're after, We shall battle!"
He squealed in a higher pitch than he would have liked as he hurled his pokeball at the ground denting it and sending out a still unconscious Nidoran.
"Nidoran! Use tackle!"
Ted's command was just met with a unhealthy sounding wheeze from his badly injured Pokemon.
Now more agitated the Mugger cocked the hammer of his gun and spoke meanceingly,
"If you don't give me your wallet in five seconds I'm going to shoot you and your dying rat there."
The sun began to peak over the hill bringing sunlight across the pathway. A flock of Dove like Pidgeys flew past Ted gathering his thoughts. He spoke,
We can't lose. We have the unstoppable power of FRIENDSHIP!"
The now fed up mugger replied.
"Look kid, in the paper, scissors rock game of life ammunition beats friendship. I've got a Snorlax of a wife at home and we need your money for food so....."
With that Ted was shot, looted of 500 Yen and the mugger received 15 Exp for his troubles.
