Current Car: I have a Toyota Hi-Lux Surf. It's an awesome 4x4 and is very big. Compared to little old me it's a tank.

Dream Car: '78 Pontiac Trans-Am, the one from Smokey and the Bandit. I've wanted one ever since I saw that movie when I was little.

From my apartment I can see the assembly plant for the Stryker APCs used by the US, Australia, and Canada. Can't swing you a deal, though; the order books are full for years.

My current car is awesome:

1987 Mercedes-Benz 300D Turbo

And it's a Diesel, which means that it'll never die, but it'll always have some pretty terrible acceleration.

My dream car? You mean, a car which I can never have in my life, but want just the same? I dunno, probably something like a Bentley Brooklands (it looks quite stylish, that's why)

Before I emmigrated, I had a bog-standard 1.3 Toyota Tazz. It was seriously a great car - cheap to run, never once broke down, never once failed to start. Some said it was slow and weak, but I still zoomed past all the twattish souped up BMWs and Mercs. It seems to me that as expenditure increases, road ability decreases.

My dream car is a British racing green 1970s Volkswagen Karmann Ghia coupe that can fly and shoot lasers. Mmmm... delicious.

Current car: White 2001 Toyota Echo. Tiny ass little car with awesome fucking gas mileage. 41 mpg. And it's not a hybrid. Regular gas.

Dream Car: Aston Martin DB9 Coupe, manual transmission with black leather interior and a dark gray exterior. They run at about $100,000. So I won't be getting one of those anytime soon (If at all)

My bosses bought a DB9 not long ago. After two months of having it they had to take it back because the paintwork started peeling really badly and the chassis started to rust. They don't use oil-based paint on new cars anymore I don't think.

Dream car: A Tesla Roadster [http://www.teslamotors.com/]. I read about it in Wired last year, and saw one in action on, of all places, Xbox Live's "Major's Minute". Sweet, sweet ride, 0-60mph in 3.9s, looks hot enough to melt the pavement while standing still, and it's 100% electric. (And, alas, $100,000... so it's going to remain a dream, I think.)

Current Car: 1997 Mazda 323 Astina

Dream Car: I've got a big thing for American muscle cars so either a 69 Dodge Charger, a 68 Chevy Camaro or 67 Chevy Impala. Mind you the prototype Dodge Challengers look very sweet indeed.

Current car: nothing.

Dream car: nothing.

You see, I have this bizarre complex where I am utterly unable to understand how a vehicle could possibly respond precisely to my input; they're such huge, hulking things that you'd think that any nudge of the wheel would send the thing careening into a ditch or me flying out the windshield as it bucks me off like a bull. Other people seem to manage but it's all a little too much for me.

I have a Toyota Rav4. Um.. I don't know the year. I like it, it gets me where I'm going, good mileage.

I don't have a dream car, though I would like a giant robot. If that counts.

Dream car: Renault Scenic
The Scenic? Really?

Odd. I'd shoot for the Laguna Estate [http://www.renault.com/renault_com/en/main/40_VEHICULES_ET_SERVICES/031_Nouvelle_Laguna/videos/index.aspx], or possibly the Coupe [http://www.renault.com/renault_com/en/main/40_VEHICULES_ET_SERVICES/_laguna_coupe/index.aspx]. Different strokes, I guess.

I have personally reaffirmed my belief that there is no replacement for displacement.
I've always been more of a "add lightness" sort of car enthusiast myself, but if you can add lightness with a huge displacement (see AC Cobra 427, TVR Speed 12), then we're talking!
The TVR Speed 12 is a very sexy car, but I'd be afraid to sit behind that kinda power. That thing goes too fast...
