I'm approaching the end of my stockpile of good books. So if you're reading something noteworthy, or just finished a mind-blowing piece of literature post it here.

Also, for shiggles, post the album you're listening to.

Just Read: Seize the Day - Saul Bellows (amazing)
Currently: Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance - Robrt M. Pirsig

Album: LP - Holy Fuck (highlight track: Lovely Allen)

Also, has anyone ever read The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay? The escapist was the brainchild of the characters in the book. Does anybody know if their is a connection between the book and this magazine?

Before the Great Lockdown....

Toby Young's "How to Lose Friends and Alienate People", the book, is surprisingly good, even intellectual for a few chapters (analysis of American media and consumerist culture. Unexpected). I didn't see the movie. It looked otherwise.

And as far as music, I have one thing to say: Korpiklaani.

Surf iTunes for the glory.

Now let the Lockdown begin...

Same for me, also started on the Discworld series. To be precise, I started with the guards/ahnk-morphok sub-series. Just finished Feet of Clay, taking a break now to re-read The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, and I'll order Jingo and The Fifth Elephant after that. Finishing the whole Discworld series will be a VERY expensive thing to do ;)

Listening: nothing really, switching between my pc screen and my tv wich is 45 degrees to the right.

"The Call of Cthulhu and Other Weird Stories",by H.P Lovecraft. It is absoulutly amazing so far. It is just a collection of short stories, but they are all amazing.
Wait...why am i telling this to members of The Escapist? Most of you already know about H.P Lovecraft!Hell, the only reason i am reading this now, is becasue the members of The Escapist reccoemnded it a lot!

As for an album, I am currently listining to "I Am The Movie" By Motion City Soundtrack, and "Working On A Dream" By Bruce Springsteen.

Already done, also one of my favourite books. I love the endless pages of numbers and ramennoodlesramannoodles...

I'm about to plow through 3 volumes of Rurouni Kenshin (sans the first...) and Wolf Brother. The words: 'Demon Bear' and 'Wolf Ally' suckered me in.

I'm listening to Helden (Heroes) by Apocalyptica and Till Lindemann of Rammstein fame, and Raspberry Heaven - the ending theme to Azumanga Daioh - alternately.

Currently reading 'The Last Wish' by Andrzej Sapkowski (yes, the book about Geralt the witcher, the one that inspired that video game).

I dunno what to think of it yet, though....I'm beginning to worry that much of the excellence of it was lost in translation, but then I've only read the first 50 pages so far.

About to start reading Saturday by Ian McEwan.

Been listening to Live at Hammersmith '75 by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Repeatedly. Over and over again. Ad infinitum.
