It is pretty cool, and I don't think it should be copy-right, I believe that this is indeed falling under personal use as you don't plan on selling it. However it is Yahtzee's line and the Escapist has rights to him so really it is a tough call i guess we wait for Landslide's answer

while the escapist staff are nice guys, I don't think that they would appreciate it if some people were making money off of their material. they wouldn't hate the person who wanted the shirt, they'd probable rather he got a ZP shirt here at the escapist. they have families to feed.

It really is a VERY gray issue here. If he were to make it personally via a transfer paper printer, I don't think anyone could say anything about it, as there is no personal gain(yeah, that's where it gets weird). HOWEVER, because it's going to be made and sold for profit, that's where the problem is.
