GIANT RED SPACE LASER OF DOOM OUT OF NOWHERE!

Bioware needs to take a leaf out of Valve's book: It is better to delay to deliver the best experience possible rather than half-assing it.

Consistency counts, and Mass Effect 3 could have been more consistent.

Holy Shit balls!!!

I knew that scene felt wrong.
So the question remains did they cut it so they could do somthing else with the ending, you know the one hope that fans have that some how free DLC will make sence of it all or did they REALY butcher the end to one of the greatest game series that badly.

Gut feeling somthing else is comming, yes Devs have dropped the ball before but this mutch? it don't make sence.

As it stands there is no explanation except this cut scene in my mind can be at least be interpereted as Shepard telling them to down tools and get out of Dodge before it's too late, as you don't see them get vapourised, they just sort of jump out of the way of the explosion in SLOOoooooooooowwwww motion much like in every 80's action movie I've ever seen.

Yeah. I can see that. I didn't know if they "died" exactly or they got away just in time. But the title says "DEATH SCENES". So i'm a little confused.
Fair enough, I didn't read the title, just posted the link after watching it once. I think thats the only other way to interperet it, and if it's taken that way it doesn't explain at least why they're alive at the end.

...Why is shepard standing there while being fired on by a reaper?
Don't get me wrong, Garrus is undeniably the archetypical 'bro', but I'm pretty sure getting to the catalyst is more important than seeing if he's alright.

Also, why is harbinger watching Shepard just stand there and not shooting him?

I think I see why they deleted this scene.

Well that... looked terrible.

I really don't think there's anything more to this than, 'they made the scene, but it wasn't very good so they didn't put it in.'

also, I had Javik with me on the last mission, but he was one of the people who stepped out of the Normandy at the end, so he can't have died.

I much prefer them alive than dead. Thats for damn sure.
Yeah, I had Kaidan with me. If I saw him get blasted, I'd cry for sure. :'[

Then again, I really hate the ending. Here's hoping rumors of 'The Truth' are true.

And the only explanation for Gilligan's Planet is that Shepard was imagining the whole thing after the Reaper blast.

To be fair you do see the bodies of your squadmates in the main game in the aftermath of the blast, which I think works much better.

Apart from the fact they can end up on the Normandy in the post-final decision cutscene.

Its the Indoctrination, they were also going to put in a sequence were shep loses complete control of his body(IOW the player loses control of shep).
