I have cut other people's hair and they looked pretty cool.
the one and only time I cut my hair was when i was seven my bangs were too short so I grabbed them and just cut them off at the root.
yeah I looked like a dumbass

I have tried it once and only once. I ended up looking horrible! Then I let one of my siblings try to cut my hair years later, and that is a mistake I will never make again. I shall only go to a salon to get my hair cut.

I don't cut my hair at all, so no point worryin' about it.

Although there are days it gets so annoying I wanna cut it all off. However, after six and a half years of letting it grow, if I decided I wanted it long again, it's a helluva wait to get back here.

I don't, but if I did I'd likely end up with one of those really bad bowl cuts or a shaved head, anything other than that would likely result in me at the ER needing an ear re-attached or something along that line.

When I had a straight fringe for a while, then I HAD to cut it myself on occasion but I rarely did because I'm lazy. :p Making it grow long rapidly and now I've just cut most of it off for convienience and I like short hair so much. <3

I run clippers over my head a few times at grade 1 every month or so. I only do it because the way my hair grows, I get bed hair very easy and I don't use hair products, plus with my face I can't make it look fashionable as it just makes me look stupid.

I tried it, it felt like it was coming out even but when I looked at it it was like several shades of black and gray. I had my roommate fix the problem.

I trust no-one but the barber with my hair, including myself. I know what I want him to do with it, and he's good at his job, so why bother trying to cut it myself.

If I just had wanted my hair cut down to a number 2 or 3 all over then I might, but seeing as i like having an actual haircut as opposed to head stubble I'll leave it to the pro's.

I think I'd only be happy doing it if I was giving myself a buzzcut, to be honest.

Not done it, anyway, since I've tended to have long hair since I left school, and it's only in the last couple of years that I've occasionally had a shaven head.

Besides, I know a hairdressers near me that'll do me a cut for £4, so I've not got to take the chance. :p

I cut my own hair, but its just to shave it off, pretty hard to screw up. If you are trying to do anything complicated, meaning more than just buzz it off, find a professional.

The closest I have gotten to cutting my own hair is shorten my fringe. Sometime when the baber or hair stylish don't cut my fringe the way I like it (I like it short) I cut it myself. Most of the time it look ok although it look abit choppy and uneven. One time I had cut it too short back (I lied that I cut it too short for a dare when my barber ask me about it). The reason why I don't tell them that I want it shorter after they are done with my hair is I don't want to complain about it.

What I'll usually do is get the hairdresser to give me a style, and if I don't like it I'll modify it. Once I get a style I like I'll give it a trim every now and again to keep it as I like it.

But I like my hair short, lopsided and kind of punky/spiky, so I can get away with it.

My boyfriend has been cutting his own hair for years and it always looks nice and is free. It seems like guys would have an easier time of it than ladies, as you can use clippers to ensure an even length.

Used to have this really long hair between age 14 and 21. Cut off about an inch every now and then to keep things healthy looking, which was easy to do myself.

Then when I finally got really really sick of it I braided my hair in a big single braid and *snip* cut it off (I think my mom still has that braid lying around somewhere). I kept cutting off little bits trying to find a length I liked, and ultimately ended up with a close buzz-cut, which I've been maintaining myself for the last 3 years. So yeah, no barber or girlfriend has touched my hair in about 10 years.

I just cut of the dead ends and trim my bangs. I really want a haircut but I don't want to go to an expensive salon, and the cheap ones don't do what I ask them too.

I gave myself bangs once, but I cut it too short. It grew out and came out ok, but I do consider trying again. Mostly because I want a nicer prettier hairstyle. I just hate that when I try going to a hairdresser, they expect me to know hair. I want them to try something nice, but all they ever do is just shorten it. (Im trying to grow my hair really long, so that is bad)

My hair looks bad enough when other people cut it, if I were to cut it myself I'd look abysmal.
