Am I the only one who cannot WAIT for this MAMMOTH game to come out in 2015/2016? It's a dystopian RPG with some gothic references.

I'm looking forward to it. We don't have much to go on, but so far it looks pretty cool. But I always try to limit my enthusiasm for games I really want to see happen. After Prey 2 was pretty much cancelled. Even if it isn't cancelled its gone through so much development hell I'm worried about the final product. Thanks to this I learned not to be to excited for games that sound really fun.

Edit: Does anyone know if it has classes, dialogue choices, and a decent sized world to explore?

Any kind of cyberpunk theme interests me, its one of the few genres that I really cant get enough of. However that teaser just doesnt do it for me. It sets an interesting tone but I want to see gameplay before I can make any kind of informed decision about if the game is for me or not.

On one hand its made by CD-Projekt Red so I expect they will try their hardest with it so it won't be half arsed even if they do make some mistakes, on the other we have had no details apart from the presentation by the creator of the TT game and all he really did was talk about the world and we saw a non gameplay, pre rendered trailer.

It will be a while before we see this anyway, The Witcher 3 has already been significantly delayed so personally I wont be getting excited until we hear more and the release date isn't off in the long grass somewhere.

This looks like something I would be really interested in, I love cyberpunk and steampunk so a game that is either one of those genres is going to pique my interest. I look forward to hearing more about it.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to this game too. But I mean, we've pretty much only got that one trailer to go on.

Good trailer though. It's got boobs AND suggestions of a hidden corporate agenda/corrupt police state.
Usually you only get one.
Usually it's boobs.

Edit: Oh yeah, I couldn't stop listening to that song after the trailer first came out:

Looking forward to playing it on the PC. Is there anything special about the PS4 version that you decided to mention it in the title?

I'm considering giving my blind trust to CDPR and pre-ordering it. Something that I haven't done for years.

You do realize this game is intended as an adaptation of Cyberpunk 2020 right?
It was a tabletop RPG back in the 90's, it was pretty great but it just didn't have the player base or staying power of something like Shadowrun so it kind of faded into obscurity. Fortunately CD Projekt Red are apparently huge fans themselves, and what with the pedigree they've established with The Witcher series I'm pretty sure that if anyone can do the game proper justice it's them.

So yeah I'm pretty damn psyched about it myself, here's hoping it turns out!

while I'm not a huge fan of the witcher CD Project seem to know what they are doing as far as a developer is concerned

While I'm certainly looking forward to it, and CD Project Red is basically one of my most trusted devs at this point, I really hope the multiplat nature of it doesn't cut too many corners for PC, particularly when it comes to the UI.

But I'm fairly hopeful since they've declared themselves a primarily PC developer, and have yet to show otherwise.

In related news, are waiting for Scivelation? A cyberpunk game that has a tentative release date of Q4 2014.

The trailer reminds me so much of Neocron, but with better graphics(pretty much the same announcer voice in the background though).

Cyberpunk as a genre has such huge potential, but suffers so badly from cliches that it's become quite unbearable at times. From characterizations to setting to story points to themes, cyberpunk has become so clogged with endlessly recycled ideas that it's become a CHORE to look for something original. That's why this game looks quite exciting to me. It seems to have a slight breath of fresh air.

Ooh thanks for sharing this! Though this game looks rather outdated. I'm not a shootemup gamer so this wouldn't be on my list anyway. Would love to be convinced to buy it though!

They made a really fucking amazing trailer, but as has been often the case in the past, it's best not to get your hopes up too early.

Not for PS4 in each case, I don't own any consoles. But yeah, definitely looking forward to more info on it.

It's very likely to be something that I'd like, but then it's really hard to get excited for a game when I haven't seen any gameplay.

That looks pretty neat, will be on my watch list. Thanks for showing me something I didn't know about :p

Same here, I love their games they have done, but isn't the trailer all we know? We need more information to really say anything about it.

Why did you put PS4 in the title? I mean yeah it will be on PS4 (I'll probably be getting the PS4 version as I doubt my PC could handle it) but it will be on PC and XBone too. And yeah as other have mentioned, it is an adaptation of the PnP RPG.

Anyway, this is one of my most anticipated games at the moment. I'm really, really looking forward to it. I love Cyberpunk and RPGs and while I have yet to play the Witcher (I own 1 & 2, I'll play them eventually) CDProjekt are known for making damn good games. I don't mind if it takes awhile, I like that it is coming out when it is ready rather than being rushed out the door to meet a release date.

I'm cautiously optimistic.

Cyberpunk V3 was a total cock up, pretty much universally hated, killed the game dead as far as PnP was concerned (bar a few very dedicated fans) so hopefully Mike Pondsmith and CDPR will be basing it on 2020, and from what I've read on the official forums, the consensus is it will be a re-write of V3, although wether they will jig around the timeline IDK, I imagine they'd have to, putting back the whole setting by 30-40 years or so might make sense. As long as they remove all the V3 bullshit I'm fine.
