...that does not sound like something you can "suffer" from.

Okay now I am getting confused we have booking for a house which I am sure is gonna turn into a fortress when everyone moves in there and then we have the internet which is gonna apparently watch us through our monitors.

This reminds me of my childhood afraid that someone could watch me through the tv. How else could they know how many people were watching their channels?

I just dropped a link to the actual bill... I intentionally linked to CBS as it is liberal and drones will actually take it as opposed to if I used a good source such as Fox it would be discarded as "Faux News"... I overviewed the bill, but feel free to read it yourself.
I read the CNet article, the bill summary, and a few of the major sections; I'll give it a better look once I'm at home, and not here at work making this fine site better for you all. Besides, it's in the really early stages of the bill process, so it's going to get revised (and, as often happens, bloated with bizarre amendments) one or more times before passes the committee and starts in on the real pork-trading.

As for the leanings of news sources, I care little. Accuracy is all I go for, and sadly every last one of the cable news networks is firmly in the camp of entertainment over fact. Fox may have championed the cause when they won the legal battle allowing them to air innaccurate reports because they're classified as 'entertainment news', but the remaining networks followed suit. Print news sources at least had to at least make an effort at some form of integrity, but they're dying out as people prefer sensationalism.

I know what you mean... We are a rare breed anymore that depend on fact and logic. Even a lot of the print media are going bad... Like New York Times reported that a Anti-Obama guy bit off a Pro-Obama guys finger yesterday, when it was 100% the opposite....

I am starting to worry about the human race as a whole.......... We are blurring the lines between animals and us. We used to have logic that seperated us, but it seems that soceity looks down on logic now.

By the sounds of it, that only affects America. Is that the case?
Spoonshivik, can I come move in with you, seeing as how Obama is deciding that we don't deserve to think for ourselves? Unless, of course, he goes communistic. Then, of course, I'll stay in America. Otherwise, he can fuck off.
Do you really think the president has anything to do with most of the bills.

They don't go to the president first they go to the house and the senate.

But I guess blaming him is easier than not sounding retarded.

As for the topic. No effort done by any government outside of extreme control will stop any activities from happening. This act is no more dangerous than the "spoon feeding poodles act of 1968".

If you want to worry about something worry about how easily manipulated people are to fear mongering. Some dude recently got his finger bitten off during a scuffle at a healthcare rally. That sort of shit is out of hand. If you can't calmly explain why you like or dislike something you have no reason to be outside speaking.

It's easier to isolate the blame to one person. That way, people don't get confused. And, seeing as how Obama had such a big thing going for him, I figured I'd just dump the bile in the landfill called "Obama's Public Opinion".
Hey whatever works.

It's generally the policy these days to be less confusing than accurate.

That's why 24 news is doing so well.

Just a shame that people prefer to understand misinformation than to actually understand information.

Good thing I live in the beautiful Germany where something like that would never ever even cross the mind of our polititians.
