I just dropped a link to the actual bill... I intentionally linked to CBS as it is liberal and drones will actually take it as opposed to if I used a good source such as Fox it would be discarded as "Faux News"... I overviewed the bill, but feel free to read it yourself.
I read the CNet article, the bill summary, and a few of the major sections; I'll give it a better look once I'm at home, and not here at work making this fine site better for you all. Besides, it's in the really early stages of the bill process, so it's going to get revised (and, as often happens, bloated with bizarre amendments) one or more times before passes the committee and starts in on the real pork-trading.
As for the leanings of news sources, I care little. Accuracy is all I go for, and sadly every last one of the cable news networks is firmly in the camp of entertainment over fact. Fox may have championed the cause when they won the legal battle allowing them to air innaccurate reports because they're classified as 'entertainment news', but the remaining networks followed suit. Print news sources at least had to at least make an effort at some form of integrity, but they're dying out as people prefer sensationalism.
