"Maybe you should reevaluate your priorities, in that case, because getting me discharged isn't a great way to get me on your side!"

This particular comment made Aaron chuckle. "Wait a minute, just hear me out. For obvious reasons, the things I told you in that hallway could very easily come back to bite me, especially if you did the rational thing and informed on me. Now, I promised you that you could walk away, and even report me, and I would take no hostile action against you. This is true, and I will hold myself to every word of it. While I trust you completely, I wouldn't get anywhere in this job if I wasn't paranoid. As I said, the punch and the words were a precaution against me being bit in the ass, but allow me to state several obvious facts first. Besides, nobody here gets kicked out for minor brawls such as that."

"First obvious fact: You have anger issues, especially regarding your heritage. Not only is this in your file, I know this from personal experience. The second, less obvious fact is that the Second Coming has become the equivalent of the boogyman among the DICE overlords, as the organization was killed off ten years ago, and there has been no evidence of it since. Third, you're fairly new here, and you also have quite the history of pissing off your superiors, while I (semi-literally) got in bed with most of them during my tenure here. When we add all of this together, assuming you informed the higher-ups about my statements about the Second Coming, the story from their side looks like you got angry at me for some choice comments on my part and attacked me, no surprises there. However, when you run to them about how I'm involved with an anti-DICE organization that was crushed before I even joined? Now it's just starting to sound like you want some petty vengeance. Add to that our individual standings with the bosses and our respective tenures here, and they'll never believe you." At this point, Aaron removed his grey bowler hat and spun it in his hand, revealing his faded black hair underneath. "Do you think that it's a coincidence that the hallway we were talking had its camera destroyed during the battle, and also that the cleanup crew walked in just in time to see you wreck my shit?"

"In short, I goaded you into attacking me to keep the senior men in power from believing you. That way I wouldn't need to keep you quiet with any threats or actions, as that would be missing the point. I do truly apologize for my actions, and I hope that you will not hold them against me. I sincerely hold no negative feelings against you or your heritage, and I honestly desire your forgiveness for my actions." Aaron adopted a bow at this point, hat over his heart, and hoped that Sophia would absolve the grievances in order that he may convince her over to his side.

Azkar begun the difficult process of getting dressed. She stripped all her bloody clothes off. But on a new set of underwear, slid on a navy skirt that would have gone to her mid thighs but instead covered what remained of her lower body. She looked through the rest of the civilian clothes she'd been given and shook her head at most of it. Someone must have thought they were real funny. Azkar continued for a few more minutes.

When she was done, Azkar wheeled out. Wearing the navy skirt, a loose yellow t-shirt with a picture of a cat on it and a few various bracelets, she'd fixed her hair up into a ponytail with parted bangs and was wearing some dark sunglasses with pink rims. She had a purple handbag covered in cats on her lap which seemed to have some stuff in it and a small black travel case strapped to the back of her wheelchair. Azkar took her hands off her wheels and folded her arms "One word. One word and you die." She then put her hands back on the wheels "Well? Where to now?"

"No, I hadn't heard. I was incapacitated until recently. In fact, I just got back from my third mission in D4. Biology, eh? Surprised you haven't heard of me."

"I tend not to associate with the other scientists, they steal the samples I go to the field to get, and test---" He stopped as realization hit him. "You... what did they do to you?" He had noticed the healing, but with Eliezer and Azkar around as well as his own abilities, he had gotten more used to it than he had realized. "What kinds of tests did they use you for? Considering you are out now, you're okay with that, aren't you?" Richard shook his head. "What do people do these days in order get more powerful? Or was it for the sake of money?" Richard had never tried to apply what he had learned over the years. His quest for information was simply that. He was curious, so he wanted to see how demons were built. People had different reasons for doing things, he had to remember that.

"Interesting, yet not. You're okay, I guess," he muttered, waiting for Azkar to be ready.

"Well? Where to now?"

"Unless someone needs to pick something else up, to the portal room. My clothes are still there as well."

Kain finally let loose his wolfish grin, his eyes had a certain intimidating gleam to them. He was about to tell him, but Azkar walked out.
"One word. One word and you die. Well? Where to now?"
"Snnrk, wow. Never saw this side of you." he shook his head, dropping his grin,
"It's your show. Just tell me when something needs to be dead."

"My best guess is we go to London first. It's the most likely place they're being made. We can check out France later if nothing turns up after that." Isaac said, still sounding as though he was in a bad mood after being replaced as team leader.

"Right then, guess that is settled. Unless anyone has any other business they need to attend to or gather any equipment they might need from here, I suggest we make post haste for the portal room then. Isaac, Adriana, did the information you gather have any ideas as to a more exact location in London regarding the whereabouts of the Kouza origin point?"

"Snnrk, wow. Never saw this side of you."
Azkar sighed "I didn't get to choose my clothes. If you think this is bad my underwear has fairies on it." Azkar shrugged "At least people won't hit on me now that I look like an underage cripple." She then started wheeling towards the portal room, in front of the others so she didn't run into one of them. "I assume you already have a bone or two Kain? So you should be set. Richard's already all packed. So let's go then."

Sophia all but had to physically restrain herself from upper-cutting the guy while he was bowing.

"Look," she said with quiet menace, unwittingly flexing her hands, "I don't think you want to continue with this particular train of thought. DICE is pretty much the only thing keeping those evil things from wiping out humanity. Despite my attitude, I happen to kind of like humanity. It's half the reason I joined the Marines. DICE protects humanity, I protect humanity; you oppose DICE, which means you oppose the protection of humanity, and therefore you oppose me. This is... unhealthy." Her tone lay somewhere between "rational" and "I'm two seconds from beating you to death with your own spine".

"Add to this my short temper--which you mentioned, yourself, by the way--being triggered by mentioning my unfortunate ancestry, as well as being struck in the face, and you have a recipe for industrial amounts of military-grade pain with a heaping helping of broken bones and a big glass of 'oh God is that my liver' to wash it all down. I killed three big demons with a knife on the last mission, so one puny man with an out-of-date hat doesn't scare me. And if nothing else, remember this: I don't often miss. And if I do, I have plenty..." She conjured up two large clips that look like they fit into a sniper rifle, "... of opportunities to correct my aim. So maybe you want to rethink this plan of yours to try and bring down humanity's protector."

Sophia dropped both clips on the ground and crushed them with her foot as she stepped closer to Aaron, speaking through her teeth as her red eyes bore holes into his. "Have I made myself clear, Mr. Aaron Bowler Hat?"

Aaron rose up from his bow and put his hat back on, looking Sophia squarely in her gorgeous red eyes. "Very well, Sophie. You have made your point. However, I would like to add that I reciprocate this feeling of protection towards this Earth we inhabit, and it is that feeling that drove me to this position in the first place. You think that DICE is the best way to protect humans, and while your thoughts are not unfounded, know this: DICE will eventually fall of its own accord, and the shockwaves it makes will leave humanity in a worse position than before. Know also that my colleagues and I do not wish to destroy DICE, we merely wish to reform it." At this point Aaron stopped leaning on his car and took a step forward, standing shoulder-to-shoulder to Sophia. "Farewell, Sophia Marshall, until we meet again." Aaron walked away in the direction of the Division 2 hallway, leaving Sophia alone with her thoughts.

Halfway to the hall, Aaron stopped. He turned his head around so that he could see Sophia, and so she could look into his crimson eyes, filled with somber remorse and foreboding. "I will leave you with this thought: Who watches the watchmen?" Aaron vanished into the brightly lit hallway; a grey silhouette sinking into an ocean of white.

Isaac, Adriana, did the information you gather have any ideas as to a more exact location in London regarding the whereabouts of the Kouza origin point?"

"Yeah. I got the spacial positioning memorized"

Isaac raised his hand and opened up a portal with his own power. He spotted Aaron and Sophia coming down the stairs and called them over.

"Hey you two. We're headed to London. Come on"

Isaac waited for everyone to go through the portal before following in himself; giving Christina a wave as he went.

When all of them stepped out of the portal on the other side, they came out in a sandlot behind an apartment complex. Isaac drew out his locating device and typed some code into it while Adriana held Eligor.

"It's said the most frequent sightings are in Westminster. Between Hyde Park and the river" He swiped his hand on the screen and placed the device in his jacket. "It should be too hard to stumble across one and see were it lives"

Elizer, after dealing with the security checks of the portal room, found himself in an alleyway leading to Euston Road. Just outside the alley was bar called the Magic Circle, and a row of small homes could be stopped further down the road.

Kain, Azkar, and Richard arrived not long after. Once their security checks were done, they headed through a portal to Paris. They ended up near the National Museum of Art for some reason. Luckily enough, there wasn't much foot traffic through the street they were standing in, and their entry went unnoticed.

"I will leave you with this thought: Who watches the watchmen?"

"I do," Sophia muttered to nobody in particular, fuming. "And you're wrong. I'll snap your neck before you do."

With that, she turned back around and stomped back toward her bunk, shoving aside anyone in her path, until she was stopped by Isaac.

"Hey you two. We're headed to London. Come on"

"Let me get my rifle. I need something to shoot." She kept stomping, but toward the armory.

I'll have you know I respect a nice hat, and bowler hats are nice hats. Sophie's views are not my views. And even then, she likes a good hat, too, but she's just really mad right now. :p

"Oooh, art museum! Can we go?" he looked back at it wistfully. A thought came to him, and he stopped.
"Wait, one of you two can speak french, right? I don't want to play translator the whole trip." He looked around, hardly anyone was around. Odd.
"Something seems off." Kain said ominously, sniffing the air.

"One, do you want to push Azkar into the museum? Two, I only speak American, and three..." he tilted his head. "Really?" Richard sounded honestly surprised, and he started looking around. "What?" He couldn't see anything weird, but then again, he had never been to Paris. It was Paris right? Or at least somewhere French. How many people did France have, was this number a lot for them to have, or not? "I don't know what might or might not be wrong, but I'm hungry. Anyone wants to eat dinner or something?" Richard said. "Remember, Azkar, I did say food's on me, and I didn't lie. However, wolf-guy, you need to buy your own food, unless you are completely broke."

Azkar looked around a bit, pulling her sunglasses down "We should find a nice cafe and have something to eat before it gets too late. We should also find somewhere to stay." Azkar reached into her bag and pulled out a purse, unfolding it and looking through it "I'm actually alright for money. They didn't pay me for anything before I changed, so I got a pretty nice windfall when I legally became Human." Azkar said it quietly as people passing by kept occasionally looking at her. Although getting looked at with pity for missing legs was better than terror for looking like a monster, she figured.

"I'm not sure what the time is, is the museum still open?" Azkar asked Kain as she rummaged through her bag to find something to tell the time with.

"I'm not sure what the time is, is the museum still open?"
Kain looked at the sky,
"I'd say it's around... 5 or 6 pm. It closes at 8. I'm not hungry, so provided you don't need me to translate, I'll be there." He turned to go.

"Might as well check it out before it shuts then, I'm sure Richard can survive a little while longer." Azkar wheeled up to Kain "So, what types of history are you interested in then?" She asked as she slide her handbag next to her and stretched her arms. "Also sometimes museums have an eating area, don't they?"

Kain smiled,
"I doubt they have a food court here. To answer the original question, doesn't matter. It's all fascinating to me. Although, I'm interested to see a few things in particular."

Were they really intending to go into a museum? An art museum, from what Richard had managed to gather. Yeah, he was sure he had seen the word Art in the jumbled mess of what seemed to be French. "I'm hungry..." he muttered. Where they going to look at art? That was so... uninteresting. However, seeing that he didn't speak a word French, and barely knew that it was named Paris around there, he sighted. "I don't get it, but whatever, I guess. It the majority that wins, I guess," he frowned. He might have to go in with them, but he was not pleased with it.

Azkar sat in her chair, frowning for a bit. She leaned on one of her arm rests, staring at the museum. She then switched arms. Then leaned on the actual seat with both of her elbows, then tilted her head, then tilted it the other way. "Hmmmmmm..."

Azkar sat back up and politely waved a middle aged man who was walking past in some dirty overalls, the man gave a quizzical look. Azkar looked shyly at the ground, she blushed and asked politely "Excusez-moi monsieur, est le musée déjà fermé pour la nuit?" the man responded with a laugh and smiled at her, then began walking off. Azkar waved to him and the man waved back.

Azkar then turned to Kain "It shut at 6, it's past 6." She then reached into her bag and pulled out her phone, putting in the correct French time. She could have connected it to the internet, but she didn't know how and really didn't care. She then smiled at Richard "I guess it's time to eat then! You can choose, I'm happy enough that the man I just asked tagged on a compliment and he wished me the best with my condition. Just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy doesn't it?"

"Huh? Well, okay..." he looked around, but the buildings all seemed the same to him. "Ehm... I..." Richard said, hesitant. Did he want Azkar to know he didn't have a clue? She was happy now, but how long would that last? Also, what kind of temper did Kain have? Was he the kind of person to get really angry? Normally Richard wouldn't care, but Azkar hurt him when she was angry, and Kain had been spliced in some kind of weird way, if their conversation beforehand was to be believed.

"I don't know which of these are restaurants, everything looks so old and weird." He closed his eyes for a short moment, opened them, and tried to concentrate, but the place was so different from what he was used to. Suddenly he spotted something that looked like a restaurant back home, and that seemed to be of high quality. "How about that place?" he asked, pointing at it. Looking more at it, he became sure it was the right kind of place. It was a restaurant with what he presumed was a French name, with an esteemed look and feel about it. It still seemed off to him, but in that French kind of way.

Azkar couldn't tell where Richard pointed from her low vantage point. But figured Richard would have picked a decent place. "Just remember if you pick too swanky we won't be able to get in due to our clothing... More so my clothing." Azkar shrugged and wheeled around so her back was facing Kain, who nodded and grabbed onto her chair. "Well, let's go then. Lead the way Richard." Azkar leaned back and turned awkwardly, popping open her case and pulling out a grey hooded jacket, which she quickly put on, but left undone. "I recently found the joys of changing temperatures, I'm playing it smart." She then pulled out her phone and started tinkering with it to try and set up a net connection and work out all the D.I.C.E registration stuff. It'd probably come in useful.
