Lets travel back to the beatifull years that were the 90s anime still didnt suck and cartoons were actually worthy of watching. Suddenly burst into the scene what would appear like a simple pokemon competition, yet turns itself into one of the gratest (on a personal descition) "kid" anime ever! Lets be honest we all love Digimon even the people who actually didnt like the show were enchanted by the idea, I actually WENT to camp hoping that a space-time continoum wormpool would open and take me into a digital world. I dont have to say that this didnt happen and eventually Digimon was over, leaving me with nothing but a loss childhood and a really cool movie. But "hooray! out of nowhere apears the second generation of Digimon" I say (in my age of 9 I think) "it HAS to be awesome" says my good friend as we sit down in front of the T.V and watch the first two episodes. Later we would spend the rest of the afeternoon bashing our own faces against the wall to try to forget, we werent able to forget. So after the second generation I survived two year without Digimon until the third generation comes into hand, this one is actually rather darker and more realistic than the others going to the point of actually killing leomon and not completley forgeting about it three episodes later (im looking at you Mimi, you stupid little..) and making the baddie a super powerfull virus thingy and a biker/gangster/demon that at the end goes "goodie". and with this the age of digimon ends, leaving us with one awesome generation, one that sucked and one that was cool...oh god I wish I could say that.

Truth is digimon continues in a fourth generation that felt more like watching a crossover beetwen power rangers adn digimon and a strange fantasy webcomic. In the fourth season they used the idea the third one pitched in (kids turning or better put MERGING with their digimons) but twist`s it a bit and makes the chosen children capable of actually turning into Digimon completley killing the digimon-human relation that the other generations had, make ing it nothing but a big ball of crapiness.

Now her is the fith generation called "DNA squad" wich is even wich focusses on a secret organization (make belief secret anyway since they use gigantic dinasour thingies and pretend that their just gas leaks over and over again) that uses special human DNA froma "squaaad" of kids to "evovle" (thats right no more digi-volutions), sounds interesting but the stories kinda boring and even if they bring back agumon most of the digimon are plain and mimic their owners (the brave one, the sensitive one and the smart responsible one) making them completley unoriginal and boring.

P.: please state your favorite digimon season...dont lie to yourself you know, you have one.

I admit to loving both generation 1 and 3, although I only ever had a VHS of the generation 1 movie and the first few episodes. I watched generation 3 on TV before going to school in 4th grade I think.

I remember only thinking the virtual pets were cool at the time, but when the cartoon came out it just felt like a Pokemon rip off, mind you I was a kid into Pokemon at the time.

I never paid any real attention to the show so I can't say I have issues with the new series, or any real opinion of the older ones.

Third generation is my favorite, though I watched 1 through 4. That fifth one doesn't sound much like digimon anymore.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
I remember the start of digimon being pretty cool and it stayed cool till after they crossed to the real world and shit went down then it got lame when they started doing the trans metal bs

In order from best to worst I'd have to say:
~3
~1
~5
~2
~4
The reason I rate 2 so low is that I just really didn't like the end, It was a bad ending to season 1.

I always thought 3 was hella fly. I liked it a bit more than 1. 2 was just meh. The one season where they turned into Digimon spirit things just made me want to kill myself.

4 was bad, ill admit it, but some of the Digimon comming out are good, and you got to think of this, they where translated for KIDS, watch the last episode of season one, that is the best example i can give you.

Season 3 was amazing and Dorumon is the best, as my avatar shows his champion form.

Look to my avatar, and you say to my face that Digimon is crap. Granted, I loved the first three seasons, because those were the only ones I really got into.

Generation 1 was amazing. I probably loved it only because I was like, 7, and going through an Anime phase that I quickly grew out of, but my memory tells me that it was really an amazing show. I remember liking the power battle between the two boys who wanted to be the 'leader' of the group. Also, wasn't the first season the one where a Digimon that looked like the freaking angel of death was the big baddie at the end?

I was into season 1 but never really watched the other generations. I thought that the constant discoveries of new ways to digivolve was just an attempt to artificially lengthen the plot, both on an episode-by episode basis and concerning the overarching storyline.

The fist series was great, I used to watch it all the time. Second series was ok, good until the end. Third series was good, though I didn't watch it nearly as much. Fourth season sucked, I just hatted it. I have not seen the fifth, but I lost all hope in digimon after the 4th series.

Digimon generation one was fantastic. Honestly much more better written than any epsiode of pokemon at the time and probably ever. Second generation was great to because it was very much in canon with the first although the characters are less memorable. generation 3 was a bit iffy. The idea that generation one and two were games was fine if it bit odd as it become more in canon with the digimon one game than the series. I really didn't like the generation three characters they were constantly whiny and annoying also guilimon was like some sort of retard.

Generation four though. Was bad. Not only was it out of canon. Not only was the characters utterly forgettable. But the fact that they destroyed the relationship between the digimon and the humans by making the humans digimon was just. It was bad. Don't even know what to think about that fifth generation, honestly can't watch that stuff unless it's generation one or two. The digimon one movie and digimon one game were great especially if you liked the tamagotchi nature the digimon had back then.

1 and 3 were AWESOME, 4 was 'meh' and i didn't even KNOW there was a 5th season. But the reason 2 sucked so hard was because there were so many plot holes!! I mean what about the dark underwater master at the dark ocean? They promised to reveal who it was but never did... and as for the movie, did you know it was 3 movies cut into one? that's why it jumped around a bit...
