I was just wondering for the BioWare fans or half-fans within this community as to whether or not you planned on getting the extra bonus, regular edition, or flat out waiting to see from your past experiences concerning DA2 or for that matter, even though its a different game genre entirely, ME3?

And no that is not a reference of the ending, it was more of a reference to the very poor " Collectors" edition ( I did get it...yes..) in which it was packed full of...well nothing considering it was supposed to be the " end" of Shepard's tale. A silly post card of a not so spectacular picture of the SR2, an iffy art book, and memory serves me right...an N7 patch? It def wasn't worth the extra... nor of the in-game " bonuses" in which most of the weapons and a worthless robot dog was supposed to be a thank you for your loyalty.

I saw in the deluxe edition for DA:I within its description as follows:

Skyhold Throne: Every ruler should sit in a place of high honor, but as the Inquisitor you will have the greatest of all, fashioned from an ancient dragon skull.
Red Hart Halla: Traverse the perilous, living world atop this great-horned beast.
Bog Unicorn: Once belonging to an evil marauder, this unique mount has returned to inspire fear into those who would oppose you.
Bring the world of Thedas wherever you go with the digital soundtrack
Dragon Age Multiplayer Deluxe Edition chests.

The Deluxe Edition also includes the mighty Flames of the Inquisition gear! Protect yourself against the onslaught of enemy attacks by suiting up in the Flames of the Inquisition Armor . Smite your enemies with the Flames of the Inquisition Weapons Arsenal . Whether staff or daggers, greatsword or war hammer, these weapons will make short work of your foes. Flames of the Inquisition gear also includes a valiant steed, the Armored Mount, complete with its own set of Inquisition Armor forged from the flames of battle.

It sold as great gear...but again... after say level 5, my experience has been that all of these extra stuff gets sold in a shop somewhere or placed in a chest and forgotten.

I did see some of the live play on youtube...

I donno. I think I shall wait and see.

I see zero reason why I would pre-order/get Day 1 this game.

It's incredibly rare already that I ever get a game on launch and when I do, it's because I can get them for some kind of deals or they come with something worth getting (I got Call of Duty Advanced Warfare for $25 stacking Best Buy coupons for example).

There is no "In-Game" shiny object that they could offer me that would ever get me to spend $60 on the game. Hell, a lot of time I don't even use that stuff because it feels like most of it is game-breaking anyway. If a game REALLY interests me and comes with a real-life shiny (Telltale's Walking Dead Collector Edition came with Compendium #1 so I grabbed it), I will consider spending full price on the game.

In today's market, games drop in price waaaaaaay too quickly for me to consider paying $60 for...well....ANY game really.

The GMG deal for $47.99 was what truly convinced me to buy it early, not pre-order bonus. With Origin, you can never know when a game will get a heavy discount and seeing as how $12 is a pretty big discount for a game that hasn't been released yet, I took the plunge and I know I won't regret it. However, I will be upgrading to the Deluxe Edition eventually. The items don't matter; they suck pretty badly. What I want is that soundtrack. The music for Inquisition is great.

Getting it as an early Christmas gift (got my parents theirs early). I'm spending my money on Persona Q, but I'll take the game for free Day 3 for sure. Ordinarily? I would not Day 1 purchase it. DA 2 burned me.

I guess the next question is this:

How many of you will put off Dragon Age to get Far Cry 4 instead? -- and thus will you also wait for that as well to make its rounds through the playing community for feedback?

I think Pokemon and Persona Q might draw sales away more with them having a larger overlap in audience.

I wasn't going to preorder it, but that god damn GMG deal forced my hand. 10 bucks off already and with my 10 bucks in game store credit I got the game for 20 bucks less.

Getting DAI day one (I have the deluxe edition pre-ordered). I loved DA2 despite it's faults and haven't really had any major issue with a Bioware game to date. For me, I'm actually putting off getting Far Cry 4. Between DAI and Little Big Planet 3, I'm just not going to have time for FC4. Plus, I'm curious (if hopefully optimistic) that FC4 will be as well received as FC3 was.

I'm getting it, just cause I enjoy Dragon Age a bunch and have expendable cash. The game is sounding really good from the reviews so far and the gameplay looks fun. So I really see no reason not to. The gear looks cool, as do the mounts and throne. Worth the ten bucks for me. And if the soundtrack is similar to Origins, I'm gonna love it.

To answer your second question, money isn't the issue for me. It's time. I just don't have enough. Unity, Rogue, DA:I, Far Cry 4, Samurai Warriors 4, COD:AW, and Omega Sapphire are just the newer titles I need to play. I most likely won't be purchasing Far Cry 4, unless the reviews are amazing, until at least late December.

Getting it day one, waking up at 8 to get it and I got three days off from work. If they have the deluxe edition in store I'll buy it otherwise no big deal. i'm so giddy.

Not getting the deluxe edition as it isn't available on the PC here in the UK on anything other than digital download via Origin and I am not paying £59.99 for it.

I'm getting the regular edition from Amazon for £39.

waiting for the first week or two if I can help it, up until a day or two ago I had zero hype for the game, but the reviews/trailers for it are getting that dragon age nostalgia going...

It's not about it costing alot or not, it's about sending a message...if they don't take a shit ton of shortcuts this time and make a proper end to a trilogy, then they'll see my 60 dollars later on, but hell if I'm going to be pre-ordering something based off their last 2 game track records. (yes yes, different people and such developing the games, but it's still bioware, and it's still EA)

Girlfriend is a huge Bioware/Dragon Age fan and ordered the deluxe edition for the DLC. I'll be playing her copy once she's done her run through. I'll be saving Draenor in the meantime.

Pre-ordered digital deluxe

Dragon Age has become an 'exception' for me in terms of how I handle gaming purchases. My love for origins earned the respect to risk a pre-order of DA2. My love for that game has led to the same respect for Inquisition.

The only other company that has earned this level of respect from me is Blizzard.

I will not pre-order any game from other companies (or even other bioware franchises).
I won't even buy games new from other companies..anything else can wait for a price drop or game of the year edition.

Note: I'm glad that the game is getting great reviews but I'm still very 'iffy' on whether or not I'll like it.
