That was cool when the cake hit, the movements it made and everything.

But now I'm sad. That cake looked awfully tasty.

I got to say yes next time use a less appetizing version of said food. Because man that cake looked good, and now I am sad to see it went to waste. Because as cool as it looked in slow-mo it would have been better used in someone's tummy.

Between this, the cereal, and the Halloween candy, I am surprised by how well things stick with their containers/platforms until impact.

It looked so delicious and moist...

Also, it has to be said, the music was exceptionally irritating today.

I've slowly come to the conclusion that this show is sickeningly perverse. At a time when much of the world is still in recession, not to mention the ever-present lack of much of the people elsewhere, it's a little difficult to watch a show based entirely on the destruction of things. (I say a little hard, since it's still pretty damn fun.)

Now I know that, whether or not you guys had eaten that cake makes little difference to the starving people of the world, hell, a million un-eaten dinners makes little difference, but it's just hard to look at waste like that. I just thought you should know that, little matter seeing as I'll come back again next week to enjoy you dropping some dice.

So the cake wasn't a lie, you dropped it.
Next time. Dice! The revenge!
Considering how Mirror's Edge was DICE's response to Portal, I think you may have won the thread.

I love how the entire stand breaks into a million pieces in a fraction of a second. They should've slowed the footage down even more so we could look how the crack forms.

Do you realize how hard it is to fill a balloon with a non-Newtonian fluid?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
That looked really cool when it first hit! I mean-
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
What did that cake ever do to be punished in such a way?! All it wanted in its life was to be eaten and enjoyed!
*cries and holds two minutes of silence*

I noticed the comments about the cost of the cake and stand, and it led me to thinking how much all the gravity-related destruction for the whole series will have cost by the end.

I know the camera was expensive to rent, and I haven't even considered the time and cost involved in the many, many clean up jobs.

Anyway, never mind the cost, slow-mo destructions against a concrete floor are awesome!!
