At first I thought oh, well it didn't do much. But then I saw it. That little piece of glass was mesmerizing! I couldn't keep my eyes off it. Also that's a coconut? Glad you told me becasue I thought it was a hot water thingie or a human head.

Given that a late-generation Polaroid's outer shell is (mostly) a single piece of hard plastic, I'm not surprised that there wasn't all that much shattering. What did surprise me was A) you had a Polaroid camera and B) you dropped it on the ground for our entertainment rather than donate it to a museum. Seriously, there's not a lot of those things around anymore!

Agreed, that seemed a rather flimsy specimen. I don't think I've ever dropped a Polaroid from that high up, but for the flash mechanism to just fly off like that was the last thing I expected, let alone all the other components flying off.

Maybe it's not a true Polaroid, but one of those knock-offs that Kodak got sued over?

I am enjoying this series so far but I really think that you need to drop things from higher up or use more force for a more explode-y affect.
