I have gotten up to 500 real messages, though they were all chat notifications and it was because I didn't enter this site for 2 weeks or something like that, sadly enough when I left the site for 3 months absolutely no one messaged me, same with that time I left for 6 months.

Admittedly though, it's around 15-20 a day currently. I'm still messaging people on my list & reconnecting with them though. One person a day, so I don't get overwhelmed.
