I would try contacting Blizzard support.

My account was compromised once back when I used to play World of Warcraft, and they had it all straight away in about 20 minutes.

That's terrible news, mate. Sorry to hear that.

You can try contacting Blizzard (I suggest calling their customer service.) They'll investigate the incident, and should give you a rollback.

A friend of mine got hacked and robbed too, in a particularly hilarious incident because he was playing with us - then he suddenly disconnected - and when he came back, his character was naked and all his stuff was gone. Blizzard rolled him back, and he regained most of his items, and all his stolen gold.

If you don't have an authenticator, now would be the time to get one.

Blizzard, despite all the hate towards them, are usually pretty helpful when it comes to this kind of thing. When my WoW account was hacked they gave me back all of the armor I had before it was stolen, I presume they have some sort of system to keeping track of what your character has or something. Contact Blizzard, explain your situation, you might have to verify you are the owner of your account, and hopefully they'll get you your shit back.

Like the others here suggested, contacting Blizzard's customer service is probably your best bet.

I'd HIGHLY recommend attaching an authenticator to your account after this incident, though, since Blizzard only gives you a limited number of account roll-backs. So if your account is compromised again, there's a reasonable possibility that Blizzard will just say "tough luck" and leave you with nothing. A physical authenticator is like $6 or $7 USD, but you can get the authenticator for smart phones for free, if I'm not mistaken. Though it's an extra couple bucks to get the physical one, that's what I'd recommend. I had problems from time to time with the phone authenticator back when I played WoW.

Yeah you're probably best off getting an authenticator. I'd previously been against them as they shouldn't be required (and I mean I spent £40 on the game and then £10.50 on the dongle, so that's like 25% extra; it's not an insignificant cost), but with the sheer number of hackings going around (more so than I've ever heard of in another game) I don't feel like the standard security in the game is enough. It scared me enough to buy one anyway. The rumour going around is that the hackers usually only strip one character which is the last character you played, and then your stash. This might be because they have a bot doing the stripping, or because they just don't want to hang around too long in peoples accounts, I don't know. But supposedly if you make a level 1 alt and always leave that as your last used character when you log out that will make it less likely your main gets stripped (though your stash will still be a target). That's just the rumour, so don't think it's a good replacement for the authenticator.

What sucks is that nobody seems to have found a reason for their compromise. I haven't seen a big spate of phishing emails going around, and nobody has admitted to finding a keylogger on their system. You'd have thought with the quantity of cases that someone would have found something, even if all the events aren't connected. As for the session ID rumour: there are some clever people out there, and if this was true you'd have thought someone with a good heart would have found the exploit by now and tipped Blizzard off. I'm still amazed at the number of people being hacked; it happened in WoW, sure, but this is on another scale completely. Or at least it's being talked about a lot more.
