As Jon and the others finished setting up the bell, the shopkeeper ran out of his store, calling for the Sheriff. Jon decided to investigate.

Entering the shop, he made his way o the back, and found Tim's body, sprawled in his own shit, vomit and blood, and John kneeling on the floor, retching.

"Dear Lord," he whispered, and said a quick, silent prayer, then turned to John, who had begun to recover. "What happened here?"

Anthony combined the peices of dough together, making a rather large ball of dough which he will use to make smaller ones for the Citizens of this small burg. He eyed the rifle hanging from the wall curiously, wondering why he thinks it will be needed soon.

He hadn't heard much from the townspeople and he hasn't left the bakery in quite some time. He remains unaware to the ...events, that took and are taking place. He just looks to the bread. They deliver water, flour and he makes bread. He wiped his hands onto an impecabbaly clean towel. He removed some loaves of bread from the oven, taking care not to burn himself and placed them into the stores window and into several baskets on the counter.

He smiled, happily, hoping that everything is good in the world. He looked out the window, noting one or two people running and something rather suspicious going on. He glanced at the rifle. No. This is none of his business. Right now he has to make bread. Maybe he'll find out later.

This is the new character's sheet - he's a military NCO from the nearby town of Carson City with the intent of helping the Hope Falls citizens. I'll PM Dastardos and ask him when I start, although I won't be able to begin my RP'ing until tomorrow (it's about 2 am here :p).

Name: First Sergeant Samuel Fisher
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Appearance: A calm, calculating man, giving the vibe of a traumatic past. Although he is severely lacking in height, he makes up for it with his dedication to the law and his unflinching confidence in the American people.
Occupation: A senior NCO of the American military.
Bio: Raised in Carson City by a single mother, Samuel Fisher was an intelligent child, and excelled in his schoolwork. Unfortunately he was ridiculed for his booksmarts and "goody-good" behaviour by his fellow schoolmates - until one day he had enough. He took a small pocket-knife from his deceased father's drawer, and proceeded to horribly disfigure a student from his class. He was quickly sent to the local military school, where he also excelled and later climbed the ranks of the armed forces. Although Samuel is very young to be considered a leader, he has consistently shown his quick-thinking and know-how in various training exercises. Following a distress call from the nearby town of Hope Falls, he was sent by his superiors by himself to prepare the local citizens for a supposed Indian attack.
Weapon: Springfield Model 1861, equipped with a rusted bayonet.

As the Indians continued with haste bullets rained down on them. As Nate fired his first bullet it made impact right in the chest of one of them, sending him straight off of his horse. As the other continued to charge without a battle plan it became extremely easy to pick them off.

As another two bit the dust one made a sharp turn, dropping his machete, and sped off towards the horizon. As the massacre continued bodies kept falling down and abandoned Indian horses left without a rider.

Finally the crowd was down to one remaining rider. Charging at Nate he lowered his machete as he readied himself to swing at her neck. As he reached him Abby fired her rifle towards the lone man. As the bullets passed through his chest, he slumped over and fell of the horse, just a few feet in front of Nate, as the horse continued to recklessly run at him.

Nate barely had time to react to the oncoming horse. To avoid being trampled he dove hard to the ground. He did a somersault to avoid the horses sharp hooves. His shoulder hurt something fierce, he had a gash on his forehead and he tweaked his hamstring while trying to dive out of the way.

Nate limped over to his hat and then turned to Abby, "Looks like we got some wrangling to do. But first, I need to take a minute. My head, shoulder and leg are killing me."
Moonlight trotted over to Nate and he leaned heavily against the horse. The world got a little dark around the edges and then went black. Nate slumped to the ground, a bright crimson trail running down his forehead.

Tattaglia's post. I forgot to tell him how and when he was going to arrive in Hope Falls. This is strictly my fault and I apologize.
Thanks.

Ethan stared out into the quickly Vanishing town, longinly wishing he had the chance too get off. too late now though. he leaned out the window, trying to get one last stare at, what he once believed to be, the biggest place in the world. he let out a sigh, "well, this is it..." he turned to RUtherford, trying to put on an adventurous smile "so, ahh...how long till we hit Carson city?"

"Prawlee 'bout a couple'o hours, maybe more." said the Engineer, somewhat preoccupied with his shovel.
"I ain't no passengers master, I've never ran a people's train before, but I gots to lay down some rules. Firstly, don't touch anything on this here head." said the Engineer, tapping the furnace box beside one of the dials. "'tis blazin' hot, and all the controls are on' here and I don't want you fellas messin' with the controls. Secon', we ain't stopping if you do somethin' dumb like fall off, so be careful. Third, keep yer hands away from the car latches." he said, tapping his foot on the steel plate covering the buffers and connector hitch from the locomotive to the tender. "if we round a corner or they jolt, they can snap yer arm like a piece of hay. Other than that, I don't really care what you do, until I give you the signal you gotta jump off, but that's in a while."
Rutherford continued to look around the cab, then looking back at Ethan.
"So you've lived in Hope Falls all your life?"

" yep" Ethan said as he sat down, trying to find a comfortable place to sit, one that was relativley far away from the furnace. "as far as I can remeber, up at 6 too help with the farm work..." until the day it all went to hell, literally. "what about you? I can't imagine there being a whole lot of work for a..." he thought about what it was he actually did " a trainmaster, in hope falls" he wasn't sure what it was Ruther did. trainmaster? station head? the most he could hope for was not calling him something stupid, or offensive.

"That's true, there really isn't much for doing as a Stationmaster. 'Job is to help passengers and run the station. Nothing to run on the station if there's no passengers, and no passengers if there's no trains. I suppose being transferred out here was some sort of promotion so that I'd be paid to do basically nothing.
Apart from that, it might not have been a promotion due to how remote and potentially dangerous the Falls' can be."

Stuff is pretty haywire for me. Sorry I haven't posted for almost a whole page. I'll start being more regular - I promise!

Amy shot a glance at the man who had just entered her bar. "Hmph. My bar. That's going to take some getting used to..." she thought, as she poured the man a small mug of milk. "That's the best I've got." Noting the lack of customers in the bar, she sighed, leaning against the counter and rubbing her temples.

Realizing the man was watching her, Amy faked her best smile, putting cheer in her voice as she said "So, I've not seen you around here before. What's your name? How'd you get to this hellhole?"

As soon as Abby saw Nate slump to the ground she was at his side. With a little patching, cleaning the wound, and some cold water Nate was on his feet again. A couple of well placed cuts, turns, and corners and they had all of their horses rounded up, plus a few more from the natives that tried to mow them down.

Nate made a note in the ledger about the additional horses. A quick survey of the new flesh showed that the horses were well cared for and didn't need any immediate medical attention.

Nate and Abby packed up what remained of their supplies and broke into a pretty good pace. After that attack they weren't fond of being on the open area any longer than they needed to.

Hopefully they could make the nearest town fairly soon.

"What did you say the name of that town was, Abby?"
"Hope Falls."
"Sounds quaint."

Drinking some of his milk while watching her he was trying to figure out where he had seen her before she seemed familiar.
"I think she was the barmaid from before maybe?" He thought
Milk was good great for cooking and good for supressing hunger.

Realizing the man was watching her, Amy faked her best smile, putting cheer in her voice as she said "So, I've not seen you around here before. What's your name? How'd you get to this hellhole?"

"Me I'm Edward I came here by the only way I could think off, the train." He told her.
"Its not that bad of a hellhole at least its a nice hellhole."
Thinking to himself "With money to be had."
The rifle was really digging into his back now.
"Uhh this thing is getting annoying." Taking the rifle from the harness he placed it on the counter in front of him.
"Heya do you know anyone named Amy by any chance? I'm supposed to give this to her."

"heh, yeah...Hope fall's was never really safe though....I mean, anyone could have rolled in at night, while we were all asleep, and..." he quickly shut his mouth, mumbling "it's just strange, I mean...why now? if it was the Indians, they could have rolled in and taken us out years ago. and yet, they only start now. unless it's not the Indians..." he quickly stopped into a mumble "heh, sorry for ah, rambling there. im sure once we get to Carson, everything will be ok...right?"

Dozing in his office, Sheriff Drummond's dreams were haunted by the shocking images of the past few days. If he could get through today without seeing another body, he'd be pleased...

The door to the office slammed open, causing Drummond to snort and snap his head off of the desk. As the situation was explained, he pinched his nose and shook his head to himself.

Not again... Lord, why do you test us so?

"Okay son, show me what's going on..."

Pushing himself to his feet, Drummond picked up his hat, checked his guns and headed out across the way to the late Halcoy's store.

As he arrived at the store, he saw that Chaplin Shannow and a few others were there already.

"What happened here?" asked the Chaplin.
"That's just what I'd like to know." announced Drummond.

He pushed his hat back on his head, and after a glance at Tim's corpse, pulled out a handkerchief and put it over his mouth.

My word... poor sum-*****.

Stepping back out of the room, he asked the small crowd a question;

"Now who's gonna tell me what happened to Halcoy?"

"I don't know" said Jon gravely, stepping out of the room to reply to the Sheriff "I heard a shot. When I got here, I found Tim dead and John just starring at him. I asked him what your question, but he seems to be in shock, and he hasn't answered. He just stands there, staring at the poor man's corpse."

He went back in, and examined the scene again. John did not seem to have moved. The Chaplin spoke as Drummond looked in again.

"It seems that Tim had gone mad, God rest his soul. See, his body is surrounded by his own waste, as if his mind has left him, and he has crouched on the floor of his shop for days. Also, the only gun drawn is lying in his hand, and it belongs to him. I think something happened to drive him insane, and he finally took his own life. I can only suppose that John walked in just as Tim did the deed, and he's still in shock. Death and maddness are terrible things to behold, but this.. this thing that Tim had become, and his subsequent suicide, are worse still. I shall pray for Tim's soul, and for Johns swift recovery"

He was silent for a moment, then said quietly, "And if he's not better soon, I'll ned someone else to accompany me. I wonder who..."

The man who called himself "Edward" asked if she knew herself. "A rifle? For me?" she scoffed, the thought striking her as absurd. "Well of course I know her. She's me. Amy Reid."

Edward coughed a little on his milk as she spoke. "You are?!" He said, a tad startled. Recovering, he smiled a little and slung the rifle off his back and onto the counter. "Then I suppose this is yours."

Amy raised an eyebrow at the man. "From who?"

To control your character a bit like that. Just wanted to push things along a bit.

Oh, and Dastardos, I've got an idea to pitch to you. I'll PM you about it later.

"Uhh not really sure to tell you the truth."
Ruffling his coat around he found what he was looking for.
"I found this note with the gun, it came from the blacksmiths"
Handing Amy the note on it read:

This town is dead for me my family died from and now neighbors are dying, I leave my home to the farmer boy Ethan may he find use for it and for the maid Amy I leave this rifle in her care she needs it more than I.

"I'm kinda looking for a guy named Ethan now if you know him tell him that the house is his."
