Someone please explain something to me: most of you all are complaining that the game has nothing to do with the original literary work. All I have to say is: and?
Take God of War. If SCEA stayed to the original Greek myths involving the monsters, the first game would've ended with the many-headed hydra; that's no more than 10 minutes into the game. But let's go a little further and say he can kill the hydra with little to no problem. Then he would've died at Medusa, since Kratos definitely didn't have the golden fleece at that that point, let alone it being able to repel attacks, projectiles, and even gazes capable of turning one to stone in an instant. Then of course there was bodyslamming the gorgon, tearing her head off, and using her gaze to turn other enemies to stone, waiting to be smashed into literally a million pieces.
So chill out. Is it really that hard to separate the game from the original literature and just simply enjoy both? Let me know, because if not then damn. Some of you really need to stop taking some things so literal.
