Dark souls 1 help [Shadow Set]

So i have really just started playing this and haven't even done the first bell yet, but i'm at lvl 21. I would like to get the Shadow set.

Guides are telling me i have to go through the depths, I don't know how to get there or if im ready to do this or what the boss is like

I have the MAster Key so can get to blighttown through the Dragon Area which takes me to a lower blighttown

Is there a way to get form here to the shadowset or do i have to use the depths?

You could travel backwards through Blighttown and if you were an experienced player it would be quicker, but considering it's your first time it would be extremely difficult and unpleasant. You're better off just getting there the proper way. Just so you know the progression of that early part of the game goes Undead Burg -> Undead Parish (where the first bell is) -> Lower Undead Burg -> Depths. The shadow set isn't really that far into the game. Just keep playing and you'll get it.

Level 21 is appropriate for the Depths. The dungeon itself can be confusing but isn't difficult at all. The boss is pretty easy, too, despite its terrifying appearance (you'll find out for yourself).

The boss you have to beat to get into the Depths is harder than the boss of the Depths.

You should go the proper way though because the first room of the Depths is also where you get the Large Ember, which you want.

Godspeed in the depths. It's a pain in the ass, but it's doable. Just remember that if you get really frustrated, take a break, because frustration just leads to more deaths.
