Dark Souls DLC Petition for Consoles

Oh crap, can we please stop with the cross-platform broadside battles?! This is one of those cases where inter-platform gaming is a success, and people still ***** about one or the other?!

Besides, I was under the impression the content would be made available later for consoles anyway. And if it isn't, I'm not too upset. I still have the game, and it's a lot of fun as is already. And the same goes for Demon's Souls.

Can we take one victory at a time? I don't think petitioning From Software to death would do much, especially after they were already petitioned twice.

PC players opened the floodgates so to speak.

And I do think we, the console gamers who made the first two games successes, have a right to know if we are going to get screwed over.

I dislike this notion that you "made it a success".

The game wasn't available for any other platforms, obviously it couldn't have made money on them if it wasn't on them. The game sold on it's merits, not it's platform so if it started on PC it would have sold well too. Take Demon's Souls for instance, it's not like it was on 3 platforms and the PS3 made up the bulk of it's sales, in the case you could say the PS3 made it a success, but in real life that didn't happen as it was PS3 only so I don't feel it's fair to use that argument.

The developers made it a success by making a good game, not console players.

But console players did make it a success. That's a fact. If it wasn't a success, it wouldnt have had sequel. It not being on PC at the time or starting life as a PS3 exclusive is irrelevant. That's just how things work.

Are you trying to say because we "didn't make it a success" we don't deserve anything? That only PC gamers should get the extra content because, you know, they're extra special and stuff?

I really have no idea what the point of your post was.

Maybe you should wait for the darn thing to come out and for the DLC not actually coming to the console so you have an actual reason to start yet another petition first?

Wait... what? Screenshots of some DLC were from the PC version, so that means they're not making it available for consoles? Shouldn't you at least know what the situation is before fucking petitioning it?

Seriously, what Jim said about boycotts is starting to apply here. When everyone throws their signatures at whatever might possibly become a problem, it loses its meaning.

Or people could just be patient for once. Maybe have a little bit of trust. Although I know that trust is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much to ask for from gamers.

Not sure why they're hesitant to release an already made (or something that is going go be made) onto the original platform for the game. We get massive additions, they get money, it's a win win.

I think the DLC should come to consoles, for the following reasons:

Not doing so would piss off most of From's fanbase, the people who made the Souls series what they are now (almost a cult classic which has guaranteed sales).

If there were and DLC for the PC, porting it wouldn't be as expensive as developing it from scratch, so console distribution would increase the number of customers at a relatively low price.

The DLC could add to the sometimes confusing lore. It's great so far, but it feels like it's missing things for the time being. While unobtrusive, it is also scarce and that's driving fans crazy, but in a good way: they keep asking for more.

Anyway, let's trust From Software, because they will likely release the DLC on consoles. You know they like to reveal info in tiny bits.

Surely if we console gamers "deserve it", then we should get it for free, as the PC gamers are? Kind of weird that the people insisting we "deserve it" all want to pay for it.
But by that very same logic, surely the PC gamers should get it over us as they've waited longer for the game? They too "deserve it".
The arguments here don't really make much sense....

Ok now this is just getting silly, do we even know if consoles are not getting it? Im starting to feel bad for From software. They act on one petition and now everyone keeps petitioning them again, just wait for the PC version to come out, they probably want to wait a few weeks before releasing it on consoles so they can encourage more people to buy PC.

But PC players made CoD a success as if CoD 1 hadn't sold on PC it wouldn't exist. Not that many people on this forum would think the future iterations not existing as a good thing.

OT: I already signed it ages ago but lets be honest unless the people in the company are genuinely stupid they will release it for consoles too. They are probably waiting to see how the content is seen on the PC and then move it to consoles.

Yeah, I don't care if the consoles get this DLC. It's bad enough that PC gamers cried about this twice. First to give them the game, then once more because they did not like how it was given to them. I'm not interested in adding another log to this issue.
